The group ENHYPEN has unveiled their fourth Japanese single ‘宵 -YOI-’ (Yoi).
ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunwoo, Niki) released ‘宵 -YOI-’ at midnight today (29th) through various music streaming sites. The single includes the title track ‘Shine On Me’, along with the song ‘Echoes’ and the Japanese version of the title track ‘Bad Desire (With or Without You)’ from their mini album ‘DESIRE: UNLEASH’, expressing desire and instincts towards a loved one with a total of three tracks.
The title track ‘Shine On Me’ is a J-pop ballad that delicately expresses the emotions of a midsummer night, showcasing the members' soft vocals and poignant emotional expressions. This song has already garnered attention as it is featured as the ending theme for the Japanese Nihon TV series ‘I Want to Catch a Sea Bream (海老だって鯛が釣りたい)’.
The music video for ‘Shine On Me’ compares the beloved to a star, capturing the romantic emotions of a midsummer night. The combination of emotional animation and ENHYPEN's visuals enhances the fantastic atmosphere. Fans who watched the video responded with comments like, “The narrative, visuals, lyrics, and members' visuals in the music video are all beautiful,” and “Listening to the song is healing.”
ENHYPEN expressed through their agency Belift Lab, “We cannot forget the emotion we felt when we first performed ‘Shine On Me’ at Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium. Since this is our first Japanese single in two years, we prepared hard, and we believe that our fans (ENGENE) will surely love it. With the news of ENHYPEN's new single release, their previous music videos are also gaining attention. The music video for ‘Bad Desire (With or Without You)’ re-entered the Japan Line Music ‘Music Video Top 100’ chart on July 27 and rose to 6th place on July 28. Additionally, the music videos for the track ‘Outside’ from ‘DESIRE: UNLEASH’ and the title track ‘Bite Me [Japanese Ver.]’ from their third Japanese single ‘結 -YOU-’ also made it onto the real-time charts.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will hold a showcase to celebrate the release of ‘宵 -YOI-’ on the 31st at 6 PM in Tokyo, Japan. This showcase will also be available online through the HYBE Labels YouTube channel and ENHYPEN's official TikTok channel starting at 7:10 PM on the same day.
They will also continue their Japanese stadium tour. ENHYPEN will hold ‘ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR ‘WALK THE LINE’ IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-’ at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai on the 2nd and 3rd of next month.
