Actress Kim Geum-soon has revealed her honest daily life and family history for the first time through ‘Pyeon Restaurant’. The warm mother-son dynamic amidst her realistic single parent life captured the viewers' attention.
In the KBS2 entertainment show ‘Newly Released Pyeon Restaurant’ aired on the 25th, actress Kim Geum-soon, who gained attention for her role as Jenny's mom in ‘Pocksak Sogassuda’, appeared as a guest.
On that day, Kim Geum-soon introduced herself by saying, “I am Kim Geum-soon, who received a lot of love as Jenny's mom,” and fellow cast members Yejin from ITZY and Chef Lee Yeon-bok expressed their support and admiration.
In particular, Yejin said, “I really enjoyed ‘Pocksak Sogassuda’. I also loved the movie ‘Yadang’,” and Chef Lee Yeon-bok expressed his excitement by saying, “I’m a huge fan of Geum-soon.”
Kim Geum-soon revealed, “I love cooking so I’m a fan of ‘Pyeon Restaurant’,” and added, “As a mother of two sons, I have been making various dishes,” showcasing her realistic mom side.
She candidly shared, “I have three family members: my first son Taedu and my second son Taesung. I’m a single parent,” and added, “My second child is attending high school in the U.S., and Taedu lives with me.” This statement brought both surprise and warm support from the studio audience.
On screen, Kim Geum-soon appeared with wet hair and no makeup, showing her surprise by saying, “Did you film that too?” She couldn’t hide her emotions when her first son appeared with a bouquet and an event prepared for her. Kim Geum-soon said, “This is the first time I’ve received such an event,” showing her reddened eyes.
