Actor Choo Young-woo confirms his screen debut, continuing his 'trend of trends' journey.
Choo Young-woo will play the role of 'Kim Jae-won' in the movie 'Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight' (hereafter 'Oseisa').
Based on the novel of the same name by author Ichijo Misaki, 'Oseisa' is a remake that reinterprets the Japanese film of the same name with a Korean sensibility. It tells a fresh and poignant love story between a high school girl suffering from anterograde amnesia, which resets her memory every time she wakes up, and an ordinary male student living a mundane life.
In the film, Choo Young-woo portrays Kim Jae-won, who lives day by day without any life goals. He appears cynical and gloomy, but he has a warm heart that contrasts with his demeanor. It is expected that he will showcase the essence of youth melodrama by vividly portraying Kim Jae-won's diverse charms as he wholeheartedly embraces love.
In particular, 'Oseisa' marks Choo Young-woo's screen debut. This year, he has successfully brought several projects to the box office, including JTBC's 'Ok-ssi's Story', Netflix series 'Severe Trauma Center', 'Square', and tvN's 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy'. With 'Oseisa', he expands his momentum to the big screen, solidifying his status as a prominent figure. Choo Young-woo, who is moving between various platforms such as TV, OTT, and the big screen, is emerging as the hottest actor of 2025 with his wide-ranging acting transformations in each project.
Meanwhile, the movie 'Oseisa', featuring Choo Young-woo, will begin filming on July 5 and aims for a theatrical release in 2026.
