The members of the group NewJeans have confirmed the court ruling prohibiting independent activities by not filing a re-appeal against the injunction application.
According to legal sources on the 25th, the members of NewJeans did not file a re-appeal to the appellate court that made the injunction decision to 'prohibit the preservation of agency status and the signing of advertising contracts' by the 24th.
A re-appeal against the court's injunction decision must be made within a week. By not filing a re-appeal, the injunction decision has been finalized.

Previously, on the 17th, the 25-2 Civil Division of the Seoul High Court dismissed NewJeans' injunction appeal. The Seoul Central District Court fully accepted Ador's injunction application against the five members of NewJeans regarding the preservation of agency status and the prohibition of signing advertising contracts in March.
The members of NewJeans filed an objection to the injunction, but in April, the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon) maintained the previous decision to prohibit independent activities, stating, "Considering the claims and evidence presented by the debtors through the objection, we find that the injunction decision in this case is justified."
In addition, pointing out NewJeans' failure to comply with obligations while performing overseas under a new team name, the court ordered 'indirect enforcement' (compulsory execution) against them. It stated that in case of violation of the obligation, they must pay 1 billion won to the creditor for each violation.
Subsequently, on June 18, Ador issued an official statement saying, "There was a decision from the appellate court confirming once again that we are the agency of NewJeans," and expressed hope that "this would be an opportunity for the members to return to their original place as NewJeans and resume activities."
Although the injunction decision has been confirmed, the dispute over the exclusive contract between Ador and NewJeans is still ongoing. NewJeans claimed that their contract was terminated due to Ador's breach of contract last November and began independent activities, while Ador filed a lawsuit in December to legally confirm the validity of the exclusive contract with NewJeans.
NewJeans is arguing for the invalidity of the exclusive contract in the main lawsuit, while Ador is asserting the validity of the contract. The third hearing date for the exclusive contract validity confirmation lawsuit is scheduled for July 24.
