Actor Kwon Sang-woo has once again attracted attention as the owner of a building worth 430 billion won.
He personally revealed the building he constructed in the heart of Seongsu-dong, Seoul, and candidly shared his reason for real estate investment as a way to spend time with his family, drawing attention.
On the 14th, a video titled 'Seoul Man Kwon Sang-woo, New Jersey Woman Son Tae-young' was posted on Son Tae-young's YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young'.
In the video, Kwon Sang-woo revealed the interior of his newly constructed building located in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu for the first time.
He mentioned, "The construction is not completely finished yet," but emphasized that "if this building does well, I can spend more time in the U.S. with my family," highlighting that it was an investment to secure time with his family rather than just flaunting wealth.
The building was originally the site of a car wash. Kwon Sang-woo remodeled it into a mixed-use commercial building that combines a pop-up event space and brand spaces.
He noted that he paid great attention to detail, saying, "I even put a lot of effort into the restrooms."
This location is situated in a prime area between Ttukseom Station and Seoul Forest Station, and is considered to have high foot traffic and commercial value due to its proximity to Seoul Forest.
Kwon Sang-woo reportedly purchased a factory site of about 286 pyeong for 8 billion won in April 2015.
He then demolished the existing building, which housed the car wash and his agency 'Soo Company', in October 2023 and began construction anew.
According to the real estate industry, the current market value of this building is estimated to be around 430 billion won, and it is evaluated as an excellent investment opportunity with an expected capital gain of about 35 billion won over ten years.
Kwon Sang-woo stated, "As with everything, you can't just ignore it. You need to visit often and see it with your own eyes," adding, "If this goes well, I can spend more time with my family in the U.S. It also allows me to focus and concentrate as an actor."
He also expressed pride, saying, "I am one of the people who revitalized this alley," and mentioned, "The car wash lights were on until 11 PM, which made this alley bright. It created a safe atmosphere for women to walk alone."
