Actress Goo Hye-sun is once again making headlines as she transforms into the CEO of a venture company. As she continues her new challenge as an entrepreneur following her careers as an actress, director, writer, and painter, attention is drawn to her recent story of receiving a love confession from a younger college student while studying in a master’s program at KAIST.

On the 10th, Goo Hye-sun announced her official entry into the business world by revealing a preliminary venture company confirmation letter on her social media.

The confirmation letter states that the company, where Goo Hye-sun is listed as the CEO, has been officially recognized as a venture company, and she also received a welcome message from the Venture Business Association.

Goo Hye-sun has completed the patent registration for her self-developed product, the ‘Expandable Hair Roll’. Unlike traditional round rollers, it features a flat and foldable structure, making it a practical and portable idea product that was patented in 2020 and registered in 2021.

In addition, Goo Hye-sun is currently enrolled in the KAIST Graduate School of Science Journalism’s engineering master’s program. She announced last year that she had “been accepted to KAIST,” balancing her studies and research activities, and is also working on product commercialization in collaboration with Professor Lee Hae-shin from the Department of Chemistry.

Goo Hye-sun, who graduated at the top of her class from Sungkyunkwan University’s Department of Film Studies with a high GPA of 4.27, is also well-known as a challenging talent who entered at the age of 27 and graduated at 40.

She also gained attention for her candid remarks about relationships on a broadcast. Goo Hye-sun confessed, “I have been approached by younger men in their 20s,” adding, “I think it was curiosity that comes with youth. I even persuaded them not to pursue a serious relationship.”

Since debuting as an advertising model in 2002, Goo Hye-sun gained nationwide popularity for her role as Geum Jan-di in the drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’. She has since excelled in various fields as a director, writer, painter, and singer-songwriter, and is currently establishing herself as a ‘versatile creator’ who is expanding her boundaries through academia and entrepreneurship.
