HYBE's next generation J-Pop boy group aoen is set to debut on June 11 with their single ‘The Blue Sun’.
aoen is a team born from the audition program ‘Support-HIGH ~Dream's START LINE~’ (応援-HIGH ~夢のスタートライン~). After a fiercely competitive race like a marathon of life, seven members were selected as the final debut members: YUJU, RUKA, GAKU, HAKU, SOTA, KYOSUKE, and REO.
The eldest member and visual standout YUJU, along with the hardworking RUKA who has nurtured his dream of being an artist since the age of four, will lead the team as the leader and sub-leader, respectively.
The team consists of seven unique members: GAKU, who brings positive energy with his bright personality and witty remarks; HAKU, who showcases his presence with excellent physicality honed through ballet; SOTA, who impresses with his mysterious gaze and unique aura; KYOSUKE, who possesses vocal, dance, and visual talents; and REO, who dominates the stage with refreshing high notes and rich expressions.
Their debut single ‘The Blue Sun’ represents aoen's first step into the world and encapsulates the team's identity. The album title, meaning ‘Blue Sun’, resonates with the team name. ‘aoen’ symbolizes the color of the hottest burning flame, ‘blue light’, embodying their ambition to be a group filled with intense passion and energy, while also conveying the message of supporting everyone with a bright energy like the sun.
On the 29th, aoen posted a ‘promotion schedule’ image on their official SNS. According to the schedule, concept photos for aoen will be released on May 1 and 5, followed by concept videos on May 13-14. On the 16th, the audio for the audition program's signal song ‘FINISH LINE Last Race, New Start’, which captures the process of aoen's birth, will be released. Following that, the debut single tracklist will be unveiled on the 19th, with audio spoiler content from the 22nd to 25th, and a trailer video on the 29th. The music video for ‘The Blue Sun’ will be pre-released on June 2, igniting the excitement for their debut.
aoen expressed, “We want to become artists who can bring happiness to more people,” and added, “If the audition period was a time of red flames, now we will burn even more intensely as blue flames.”
