Former rhythmic gymnastics national representative Son Yeon-jae candidly confessed about her changed daily life after marriage.
On the 20th, a video titled ‘The Gymnast Fairy Son Yeon-jae, Now a Mom, Reveals Her Newlywed Home for the First Time (Natural Birth, 9 Years Older Husband)’ was uploaded on broadcaster Lee Ji-hye’s YouTube channel ‘Not Annoying Attention-Seeking Sister’. In the video, Lee Ji-hye visits Son Yeon-jae’s home to take a look at her parenting life.
Son Yeon-jae said, “It seems like things are changing quickly before and after marriage,” and added, “When I look out the window on Friday evenings, it feels like everyone is going out, but I’m taking care of the baby, which is a strange feeling.” She continued, “Before having the baby, I hardly ever fought with my husband. But after giving birth, we have battles every morning.”
Additionally, Son Yeon-jae revealed that she had a natural birth and shared the difficulties she faced during childbirth. She recalled, “The baby came out three weeks earlier than expected, and I had 16 hours of labor, but the delivery was only 30 minutes,” and added, “I cried for two weeks straight in the postpartum care center. My stomach hurt so much, and it felt like I was still in labor.”
Meanwhile, Son Yeon-jae married a financial industry worker who is 9 years older than her in August 2022. After giving birth to her son Jun-yeon in February last year, she started a new life and shares her daily experiences and honest concerns about parenting through social media.
