Members of the girl group Promise Nine (fromis_9) - Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Na-kyung, Lee Chae-young, and Baek Ji-heon - are making efforts to keep their promises with fans as they announce a fresh start at a new agency.

On the 26th, the agency Ascend (ASND) officially announced, "The five artists, Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Na-kyung, Lee Chae-young, and Baek Ji-heon, have signed exclusive contracts with Ascend."

After ending their contract with Pledis Entertainment, a label under HYBE, last year, they decided to join Ascend after much contemplation.

The agency stated, "It must have taken a lot of thought and courage for the members to choose to continue team activities," and added, "We will provide unwavering support so that they can pursue their dreams in the future." They also mentioned, "Currently, the use of the team name is under discussion with the former agency, and we are preparing to present more meaningful activities in 2025."

In particular, the fact that discussions about the team name are ongoing with the former agency has garnered significant interest from fans. The team name goes beyond being just a name; it embodies the identity and promises shared with fans, making the outcome even more anticipated.

Promise Nine's fresh start is generating great expectations among fans. Member Baek Ji-heon stated in a recent interview, "The most important thing is the belief that we can be with our fans no matter where we are," expressing a desire to maintain their relationship with fans regardless of the team name.

They are preparing to create more memories with fans, having announced a new album and performances in 2025. There is much anticipation regarding how the discussions surrounding the team name will conclude and the steps they will take in their new home.
