Broadcaster Park So-young urgently visited the emergency room due to a worsened physical condition after undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Recently, a video titled ‘Emergency situation while preparing for pregnancy?! Review of my urgent visit to the emergency room!’ was posted on Park So-young’s YouTube channel ‘Housewife So-young’.
Park So-young shared the aftermath of her IVF attempt, stating that she hadn’t gone to the bathroom even once in five days after the egg retrieval.
She revealed, “I was in the bathroom for about an hour but couldn’t have a bowel movement,” and explained that she was going to the emergency room due to severe abdominal pain.
After visiting the hospital, Park So-young turned on the camera looking somewhat better and said, “Yesterday was a terrible day. I couldn’t go to the bathroom for almost a week after the egg retrieval.” She added, “My stomach was so swollen it felt like it was going to burst. I thought I might have ascites. In the end, I went to the emergency room and got tested, and the result showed that my colon was full of stool. It was constipation.”
She then stated, “Those who are preparing for IVF after getting hormone injections are really amazing. I’m determined to drink more electrolyte drinks and water from now on.”
Park So-young married former baseball player Moon Kyung-chan, who is five years younger, last year.
