Disney Plus announced that it is launching the ‘Genie TV Disney+ All G’ subscription plan, allowing users to enjoy Disney+ content and KT's IPTV ‘Genie TV’ freely through a strategic partnership with KT.
The ‘Genie TV Disney+ All G’ available on KT IPTV is an all-in-one subscription plan that allows viewing of Disney+ and over 250 real-time channels provided by Genie TV, as well as a wide variety of VOD content across approximately 160,000 titles, including the latest movies, TV shows, dramas, and international series.
Upon subscribing to this IPTV plan, a ‘Dedicated All G Menu’ will be set up on the first screen of Genie TV, allowing users to easily check the content at a glance. Additionally, it can be used on mobile and tablet devices through the mobile app ‘Genie TV Mobile’. With enhanced viewing convenience and a reasonable price, it is expected to receive positive responses from a variety of users.
This partnership is significant as it marks a complete shift from the previous business model of single paid sales using IPTV's additional services to a fully ‘content-centric’ user interface (UI). Viewers can now access Disney+'s vast content library through the Disney+ app on the KT IPTV platform, allowing for a more convenient experience of diverse genres and differentiated entertainment. With just a simple click, users can enjoy Disney+ original series such as ‘Polaris’, ‘Tangled’, ‘Weekly Entertainment’, ‘Fine: The Village Idiots’, ‘Nine Puzzle’, as well as global hits from major brands like ▲Disney ▲Pixar ▲Marvel ▲Star Wars ▲National Geographic ▲Hulu, and family and kids exclusive content.
To celebrate the launch of the subscription plan, from the 17th to January 31 of next year, it will be available at a promotional price of 19,900 won per month (based on a 3-year contract) on KT IPTV, and users can enjoy the same discount benefits if they maintain the subscription during the contract period. After the promotion, it will be available at the regular price of 21,500 won per month (based on a 3-year contract). Additionally, the first 1,000 people who sign up online at KT.com will receive special Disney merchandise.
