Actor Jung Woong-in shares the story of being scammed out of all his wealth.

On the 13th, Channel A's ‘Close Friends Documentary – Four-Person Table’ will feature Jung Woong-in alongside his longtime friend, director Jang Hang-jun, and actress Song Sun-mi, with whom he collaborated on the film ‘Dusa Bu Ilche’.

On this day, Jung Woong-in reveals how he debuted in dramas thanks to Jang Hang-jun during his early career, when he was only active in theater after graduating from college. Jang Hang-jun, who was the main writer for SBS’s ‘The Tale of a Thousand and One Nights’ at the time, called Jung Woong-in first and advised him, “When the call comes from PD Kim Byung-wook, say you’re not doing it at first; you have to play hard to get,” which made his friends burst into laughter.

Ultimately, following Jang Hang-jun's plan, Jung Woong-in began his career with ‘The Tale of a Thousand and One Nights’ and went on to appear in significant works such as the film ‘The Quiet Family’ and dramas ‘Gukhee’ and ‘Eunsil’. He was able to establish himself as an actor. Additionally, Jung Woong-in recalls that his father, who was hospitalized, told Jang Hang-jun during a visit, “Sir, our family is alive thanks to you,” which moved his friends deeply.

Jung Woong-in also shares his family history. He recalls a painful memory of his father, who ran a noodle shop, falling off his motorcycle while delivering 20 servings of noodles and picking up the spilled noodles. He reflects on his father, who passed away after battling cancer, saying, “I often think about how hard it must have been for my father, who passed away at my current age, even in my dreams.”

Motivated by his parents, Jung Woong-in mentions that after debuting, he appeared in hit productions for four consecutive years, eventually moving from a moldy semi-basement home to a 30-pyeong apartment on the third floor.

However, after appearing in ‘Three Friends’, he reveals the ordeal of being scammed out of all his wealth when his then-manager took out loans against his assets. He recalls a desperate moment when he had to kneel before a loan shark, sharing a story about how the people putting on the red seizure stickers said, “He’s a famous person, so we’ll let it slide for now.”

A time to look into the life of a star with close friends, ‘Documentary – Four-Person Table’ airs every Monday at 8:10 PM.
