The 1-on-1 match in Round 3 of ‘DdanTtara’ has officially begun. Former teammates Jo Hye-jin and Yoo Woo faced off as rivals, raising heart rates. The shocking elimination of Yoo Woo and Na Young-joo, who had received high praise from the masters in Round 3, left everyone stunned.

In the sixth episode of KBS2's entertainment show ‘DdanTtara’ (directed by Yang Hyuk, written by Choi Moon-kyung), the second round of competition continued from the previous episode.

The teams that took the stage were Kim Byeo-ri and Jang Se-ryeong, and Park Min-hee and Choi Jong-won. As the only female trot duet on ‘DdanTtara’, Kim Byeo-ri and Jang Se-ryeong performed Jeong Soo-ra's ‘Doraji Flower’, while Park Min-hee and Choi Jong-won chose Lee Young-ji's ‘Small Girl’ to create a pink atmosphere.

The winners of the competition were Park Min-hee and Choi Jong-won. They captivated the audience with their sweet yet playful portrayal of a realistic couple, passionately singing ‘Small Girl’. Wendy couldn't hide her smile, saying, “Watching the two of them made me want to date.” In particular, Cha Tae-hyun praised Choi Jong-won, saying, “He keeps showing new sides, making it feel like we’re watching a growth character in ‘DdanTtara’,” which drew attention. Jang Se-ryeong was unfortunately eliminated.

The next competition was between Pyeon Hae-jun and Kim Ha-na, and Moana and Shim Sang-il. Pyeon Hae-jun and Kim Ha-na took the lead, choosing QWER's ‘Addicted to Worry’ and showcasing a humorous and heart-fluttering performance of young love in their early 20s in slow motion. Shin Dong praised, “I don’t know why I’m crying,” and called it “a short but powerful concept.” Moana and Shim Sang-il then performed against the backdrop of 2PM's ‘Our House’, portraying a man and woman meeting at a jazz bar and appealing to each other. In the end, Pyeon Hae-jun and Kim Ha-na won, while Moana was eliminated.

After the second round stage, which clearly demonstrated the participants' growth, Sakura was selected as an additional successful candidate, signaling the start of the third round with 26 successful candidates in the matching round, promising fierce competition once again.

The third round competition was a 1-on-1 battle. DAY6's Young K appeared as the special master for Round 3. When Young K appeared, Kim Ha-neul jumped up from her seat, saying, “I love you so much. I’m a huge fan,” which made everyone laugh as she couldn't make eye contact.

The first match of Round 3 was between Lee Song-hyun and Na Young-joo, who both majored in Korean dance and traditional music, respectively. Na Young-joo presented a deeper traditional performance than before, while Lee Song-hyun created a fusion stage of traditional music and popular songs. Lee Song-hyun sang Kim Yoon-a's ‘Nocturne’ using traditional singing techniques she had mastered alone, enhancing the immersion. Wendy commented, “Your facial expressions are great. The final fingertip movement is excellent,” while Park Jin-young noted, “It doesn’t feel like a fusion. When Lee Song-hyun starts performing, she changes the atmosphere. That’s something not everyone can do.”

Na Young-joo prepared to perform Lee Jeok's ‘Lie, Lie, Lie’. Having focused on performance in previous rounds, she stated that she would concentrate on singing in Round 3. Young K praised, “Thank you for showing a drama that can be felt through hearing.” However, Cha Tae-hyun expressed disappointment, saying, “It’s flawless, but it wasn’t that fresh.” In a close call, Park Jin-young deliberated and chose Lee Song-hyun. The eliminated Na Young-joo tearfully expressed, “I got to try rapping and dancing on ‘DdanTtara’, breaking my own mold. So I’m grateful.”

Next, Jo Hye-jin and Yoo Woo faced off, delivering a shock. Since they had teamed up in the second round matching round and created a buzz, Yoo Woo shed tears when their matching opponent was announced, adding to the heartbreak.

Jo Hye-jin took the lead. She captivated the masters with her performance of Hyukoh's ‘Wari Wari’. Not only did she showcase excellent dance skills, but her diverse facial expressions left everyone speechless. Cha Tae-hyun remarked, “Hye-jin should become an actress. She has everything an actress needs,” while Kim Ha-neul praised, “Her expressions are completely open.”

Young K said, “I was goosebumps from start to finish. I hope there are many moments in life where you stand on stage,” and Park Jin-young remarked, “In my six years of audition programs, including ‘K-Pop Star’, I’ve never seen a stage that continuously pricks the body with needles like this. It was a series of shocks.” He then added, “Your basic skills are so good. I’m thankful to all the agencies that didn’t pick you.” When Jo Hye-jin replied, “JYP was among those agencies,” Park Jin-young was taken aback and said, “So you practiced harder. The reason we met at this moment is that (JYP) didn’t pick you. It’s so touching,” which brought laughter.

Yoo Woo presented a bright performance contrasting with Jo Hye-jin's, performing Crush's ‘Rush Hour’. Starting with rap, Yoo Woo energized the masters with her incredible energy. With her unique bright and lovely expressions and excellent dance skills, Wendy exclaimed, “I love you, Yoo Woo,” and added, “I heard you rap for the first time, and you’re so good at it.” Young K commented, “I wonder what I was doing at that age. Jo Hye-jin’s stage could shake your mental state, but she became one with the song,” while Park Jin-young praised, “When talent and skill come together, it turns out like that. Dance, lyrics, rap, and singing are all stable.”

In a surprising turn of events, Jo Hye-jin won unanimously, and Yoo Woo was eliminated. As Yoo Woo shed tears over the result, Wendy immediately ran onto the stage to give her a warm hug. Yoo Woo expressed her final thoughts, saying, “I want to be on stage. I don’t want to go to Japan yet,” bringing both laughter and tears.

‘DdanTtara’ has raised curiosity about the remaining participants, promising unpredictable battles ahead.
