Chef Yeo Kyung-rae revealed that he witnessed his father's death firsthand.

On the broadcast of tvN's ‘Yoo Quiz on the Block’ aired on the 1st, Chef Yeo Kyung-rae appeared as a guest.

On that day, Yeo Kyung-rae shared that he lost his father at an early age and started his career in Chinese cuisine at the age of 15 to support his family. He said, "I was a novice who entered the field, and time passed while I kept working."

Yeo Kyung-rae recalled, "In fact, I witnessed my father passing away. I remember it from when I was 5 years old, and it was winter. My father was farming chives, and we planned to go to the city to watch a movie as a family after selling them. He first put my mother and me in the car, and while he was crossing the street to bring the chives, he got hit by a car."

He continued, "I remember saying 'Father is dead.' That is etched in my mind. I also remember throwing dirt on my father's coffin. It was a long time ago, but it stays with me for life," evoking a sense of sorrow.

Meanwhile, ‘Yoo Quiz on the Block’ airs every Wednesday at 8:45 PM.
