Actor Lee Se-ho, who plays the role of Lee Jang-kyun in ‘The Tyrant's Chef,’ delivered a cheerful apology regarding his performance.

In the 11th episode of tvN's weekend drama ‘The Tyrant's Chef’ (directed by Jang Tae-yu, written by fGRD, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Film Greeda and Jung Universe), Lee Jang-kyun (played by Lee Se-ho) appeared at the banquet hall with a secret document related to the death of the deposed queen, having received a secret mission from Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min).

Seeing his subordinate Lee Jang-kyun, who he thought was missing, Lee Heon felt a moment of joy, but the stiff expression on Lee Jang-kyun's face showed that he could not even dare to look at the king he served. This was a scheme orchestrated by Prince Je-san, who had taken Lee Jang-kyun's family hostage to provoke Lee Heon's anger and turn him into a tyrant, forcing Lee Jang-kyun to become a pawn in this game.

With tears in his eyes, Lee Jang-kyun presented the terrible truth surrounding the death of the deposed queen, which would ultimately frame the king as a tyrant, along with the mentally unstable mother of the deposed queen before Lee Heon. Despite the threats from Prince Je-san, the ultimate truth was that he himself had betrayed the king, and thus, Lee Jang-kyun felt he was not even worthy to kneel before the king, leaving him awkwardly standing.

Lee Se-ho portrayed Lee Jang-kyun, a trusted subordinate who secretly carried out the king's orders, but ultimately had to betray the king by delivering a document that would spark a rebellion at the banquet due to his family being taken hostage.

Therefore, from the moment he entered the banquet hall, he carefully depicted the conflict between his loyalty to the king and his feelings for his family through cautious steps, wavering gazes, and trembling breaths.

Immediately after the broadcast, Lee Se-ho expressed his playful apology to viewers on his SNS, saying, “I’m sorry for ruining the feast. I couldn’t help it. I sincerely apologize,” while also adding, “Although my part was short, I was truly happy.”

Through his agency, Studio Bill, Lee Se-ho conveyed his heartfelt gratitude, stating, “I sincerely thank everyone for watching ‘The Tyrant's Chef,’ which is filled with everyone’s sweat and effort. I am so happy and grateful to have been able to create a good work with great writing, a wonderful staff, and excellent seniors and juniors. It was a valuable experience and an unforgettable time.”

Meanwhile, Lee Se-ho is currently engaging with the audience in the play ‘Ikaino Bike,’ adapted from the original work of the play ‘Tandem Border Bird’ written by third-generation Korean resident in Japan Kim Cheol-ui, commemorating the 80th anniversary of liberation.
