Three star chefs Kang Leo, Jung Ji-sun, and Kim Do-yoon will appear as judges on ‘Mask Chef’.
Channel A's new entertainment program ‘Mask Chef’ has confirmed its first broadcast on October 31 and revealed a lineup of cast members that promises both taste and laughter.
‘Mask Chef’ is a new concept cooking competition program where challengers, whose identities are concealed by masks, compete solely based on taste. From self-proclaimed cooking masters to hidden culinary talents, challengers who are serious about cooking will step into the ‘kitchen’ ring to showcase their unique signature recipes and engage in cooking battles. This program is expected to combine intense cooking competitions with the fun of guessing the true identities of the chefs, offering the charm of ‘foodtainment’.
First, the MC leading the masked cooking competition will be Seo Jang-hoon. Seo Jang-hoon will provide cold, objective advice and motivation to the masked challengers as a master in the ring, while being cool-headed yet passionate. Having established himself as a ‘national MC’ recognized by all, interest is growing in what new aspects he will showcase in the new entertainment show ‘Mask Chef’.
Joining as judges for the cooking competition are chefs Kang Leo, Jung Ji-sun, and Kim Do-yoon. Representing the flavors of Western, Chinese, and Korean cuisine, they will help deduce the identities of the masked challengers and objectively evaluate the dishes they create, adding flavor to the masked cooking competition led by MC Seo Jang-hoon.
In particular, the three star chefs will not only serve as judges but will also participate in the cooking competition of the second round if they are chosen by the challenger who wins the first round, raising curiosity about the dishes and performances they will present.
Additionally, ‘Mask Chef’ is directed by PD Ha Jung-seok, who has been recognized for his directing skills through ‘Master Chef Korea’ seasons 1, 2, and 3, and writer Bae Yoon-kyung, who was in charge of ‘Master Chef Korea’ seasons 2, 3, and 4, reuniting to heighten expectations. Attention is focused on what new stories these two, who led the cooking entertainment syndrome, will present in ‘Mask Chef’.
The production team of ‘Mask Chef’ stated, “’Mask Chef’ is the first new concept masked cooking competition where the identity behind the mask does not matter, and only ‘cooking’ is the basis for competition,” and added, “We will deliver various dishes, intense competitions, and the fun of pursuing the identity of the masked chef to our viewers.”
A masked cooking competition that competes solely based on taste, Channel A's new entertainment show ‘Mask Chef’ will premiere on October 31 at 9:40 PM on Channel A.
