Broadcaster Hong Jin-kyung revealed that she maintains a good relationship with her ex-husband even after their divorce.
In the Netflix variety show 'Driver: Finding the Lost Handle' that aired on the 21st, the members were seen having a conversation.
In his first year of marriage, Jo Se-ho expressed his affection for his wife and caught attention by answering "end love" when asked if his wife was his first love.
In response, Hong Jin-kyung asked, "Can you guarantee that?" and Jo Se-ho made a strong commitment, saying, "I will protect it until the end." Hong Jin-kyung mentioned her divorce, saying, "I wanted to protect someone too."
Meanwhile, the members requested Hong Jin-kyung to send a video letter to her ex-husband, and she actually sent one, drawing attention.
Hong Jin-kyung referred to her ex-husband as "oppa" and expressed concern, saying, "I think this will make a lot of headlines." She continued, "We have been in touch continuously, even yesterday and today, and we are very close," explaining that they met the day before filming.
She added, "We had a delicious meal at a cold noodle restaurant with my daughter and my ex-husband. We are getting along well, but people seem uncomfortable. We are maintaining a healthy relationship," and expressed gratitude, saying, "I always appreciate and support him. He is the dad of Rael, whom I love."
Hong Jin-kyung married a businessman who is five years older than her in 2003. They welcomed their daughter, Kim Rael, in 2010. Last month, she drew attention by announcing her divorce.
Through her YouTube channel 'The Lost Jeong Seon-hee', Hong Jin-kyung explained, "I met Rael's dad in 1998. You might ask why we broke up, but it wasn't due to one person's fault. Let's try to live a bit differently now. After we separated and became strangers, a real friendship developed. He was someone I liked, beyond the romantic relationship I had before, and now he is a really good oppa to me."
