Musical actor Go Eun-sung has won the Best Supporting Actor award.

The 9th Korea Musical Awards took place on the evening of the 13th at the Universal Art Center in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Musical actor Lee Gun-myung, who has been with the Korea Musical Awards since its inception, served as the MC, and The M.C Orchestra joined again this year.

Nominees for the 'Best Supporting Actor' category included Go Eun-sung (The Great Comet), Shin Sung-min (Il Tenore), Shin Chang-joo (Hongryeon), Ji Hyun-jun (Hadestown), and Choi Ho-jung (Il Tenore).

Go Eun-sung expressed, “I dreamed of being a musical actor since I was 18. Ever since then, my heart warms whenever I think about musicals. I am currently performing as Cyrano in 'Cyrano.' While performing, I thought, 'This is so much fun.' I am grateful that this job, which has been my dream since childhood, has become my profession. I want to continue to be a musical actor who does not take this for granted and can show great performances to the audience in the future.”

The 9th Korea Musical Awards is a musical awards ceremony hosted by the Korea Musical Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Arts Council. It reviews the musical market over the past year, analyzes and evaluates market trends, and selects award winners through fair voting by expert and audience panels.
