Pop star Beyoncé has donated approximately 3.7 billion won to support victims of the wildfires in Los Angeles, USA.

Beyoncé's nonprofit foundation, BeyGOOD, announced on social media on the 12th (local time) that it would donate $2.5 million (approximately 3.6725 billion won) with the message, "Los Angeles, we stand with you."

The foundation stated, "The $2.5 million donation will be used to operate the LA Fire Relief Fund. This fund will assist churches and community centers that support families in the Altadena and Pasadena areas who have lost their homes and those affected by the wildfires."

The Altadena and Pasadena areas, where Beyoncé's donation will be used, have suffered significant damage from the Eaton Fire, one of two major wildfires that recently occurred in LA County.

Since the start of the Palisades Fire and the Eaton Fire on the 7th, over 153.1 square kilometers—34 times the area of Yeouido—have burned, with 24 confirmed deaths and 23 missing persons reported so far.

In addition to Beyoncé's donation, Hollywood stars and companies are continuing their charitable efforts.

Angelina Jolie has opened her home to neighbors affected by the major wildfires in Los Angeles, while actresses Sharon Stone and Halle Berry have donated clothes, shoes, and bags. Paris Hilton, the heiress of the Hilton family, has started an emergency fundraising campaign for the affected residents.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis has announced a donation of $1 million (approximately 147 million won), and Eva Longoria has pledged $50,000 (approximately 7.3 million won) to support wildfire victims and recovery efforts.
