In 'Dolsing Singles 7', Voice Actor X Jiwoo and Donggeon X Myung-eun captivated viewers with their sweet and salty dates in Korea.
In the 10th episode of MBN's 'Dolsing Singles 7', which aired on the 21st, the final couples Voice Actor X Jiwoo and Donggeon X Myung-eun went on their first date in Korea after becoming a couple in Gold Coast, Australia, while also facing conflicts over differing opinions on remarriage and their romantic styles.
Voice Actor X Jiwoo reunited at Incheon International Airport about two weeks after returning from Australia. Voice Actor surprised Jiwoo by coming to the airport to welcome him back from a long business trip abroad. He also moved Jiwoo by presenting a bouquet of flowers and a handwritten letter, and later took him to his Korean restaurant to prepare a splendid 'Korean meal'.
While having a cozy meal, Voice Actor brought up the topic of marriage. He expressed his desire to marry quickly, saying, "As long as I have certainty, the duration of the relationship doesn't matter," but Jiwoo questioned his financial views. When Voice Actor replied, "I don't want to live consumed by money," Jiwoo candidly revealed, "Originally, my goal was to accumulate significant wealth within 2-3 years. So, I want to postpone the marriage until after that."
As they clashed for the first time over the timing of remarriage and financial views, Voice Actor felt disappointed, saying, "I guess I'm the only one in a hurry," but Jiwoo cautiously shared, "Having gone through two divorces, I need to be more careful."
A few days later, the two moved in together at Jiwoo's house. Jiwoo prepared a new blanket for Voice Actor, who has a cat allergy, and picked him up from his restaurant to go home. Voice Actor charmed Jiwoo's two cats and enjoyed a late dinner of galbijjim that Jiwoo had cooked.
After the meal, he gifted Jiwoo an LP record, sweetly saying, "Let's listen to it together on Christmas." As they went to bed, with Jiwoo having to work the next day, the two lovingly gazed at each other's faces while lying in the same bed. When Jiwoo fell asleep, Voice Actor turned off the lights, romantically ending their first day of living together.
Donggeon X Myung-eun also sparked excitement with their 'first 1:1 date' in Korea. 'Power J' Donggeon invited Myung-eun to an Australian-themed restaurant to start creating memories together. He expressed, "I was happy that things went the way I wanted in the final selection," adding, "I felt like we didn't have time to get to know each other in Australia, so I prepared a date to show my true self."
He then presented a cake featuring photos of him and Myung-eun, to which Myung-eun responded with a smile, "Wow~," but also felt awkward saying, "It's a bit strange to eat the part of our faces." MC Lee Ji-hye, who was watching in the studio, empathized with Myung-eun, saying, "That's why I dislike 'photo cakes' too," eliciting laughter.
After the meal, Donggeon took Myung-eun to an art studio. There, they decided to draw each other's portraits. They discussed topics such as the standards for male and female friends, the duration of dating before marriage, and marriage values.
However, Donggeon completed a 'Myung-eun portrait' that looked like it was from an 'unknown source', leaving Myung-eun flustered, who cutely retorted, "Do you have some pent-up feelings towards me?" Donggeon then revealed, "Actually, I have a drawing I worked hard on for 6 hours last week," showcasing a delicately drawn picture of their friendly two-shot and a solo photo of Myung-eun, providing a surprising emotional twist.
After successfully completing the second event, Donggeon finally went to the ice rink, known as the 'holy land for lovers'. However, his skating skills were so poor that he made Myung-eun anxious. Eventually, Myung-eun, who was a 'skating beginner', chose to lean against the ice rink wall instead of holding Donggeon's hand. Suddenly, Donggeon disappeared and reappeared later with a large bouquet of flowers.
