Famous Mukbang YouTuber Jjuyang (11.6 million subscribers) clarified the ongoing rumors about plastic surgery, stating, “I keep losing weight, which changes my appearance.” Her heaviest weight in life was in the low 60kg range, and surprisingly, her current weight is 44~46kg.
Recently, a video titled ‘Do I go to the bathroom often? I reveal my weight and plastic surgery in a messy Q&A’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Jjuyang's Outside Garden’.
In this video, when asked, “When did you have nose surgery?” she lifted her nose and said, “There are many comments about plastic surgery, and I want to. I lost my baby fat at 26, and it came off all at once, which is a bit disappointing. My face has changed a lot,” confirming that she has not undergone plastic surgery.
She explained, “Overall, I have lost some weight. I feel like I am getting thinner. I don’t know why. I am getting older, and I keep losing weight. The face you all remember from back then (early YouTube days) is no longer there.”
She continued, “Reading comments can make me feel good at times, but also emotional at times,” adding, “If people say I’ve become pretty without plastic surgery, I’m grateful, but when they say, ‘Why did you change it, it looks weird,’ I wonder, ‘Is my face not good these days? Was I better when I was chubby?’” expressing her frustration over negative comments about her appearance. “I haven’t done (plastic surgery) so far because I’m worried that if my face changes too much, my image will change,” she added.
She also mentioned, “I removed fat above my eyes. I have tried Botox and fillers in the past, but it’s been a long time since I had fillers. I was scared because they leave a mark on the face. I think I should take care of my skin. I can’t go out looking too shabby,” she laughed.
When asked about her ‘heaviest weight in life,’ Jjuyang replied, “In the late 50s to early 60s?” and added, “My current weight is about 44~46kg.”
Additionally, she said, “I have eaten a lot since middle school, and I tend not to gain weight compared to how much I eat,” and “I don’t eat much sweet stuff now, but I liked it when I was a student. I didn’t really like meat. I used to eat several of the biggest Hershey's chocolates a day and would buy four big bags of snacks to eat. It was so strange that I even went to the hospital. I’ve gotten used to it now. I think my constitution has changed a bit,” she added.
Meanwhile, Jjuyang filed a lawsuit against YouTuber Gyujaeok and others who extorted money from her by threatening her in July 2024. In the first trial, Gyujaeok was sentenced to 3 years in prison, and Jeonggukjin received 1 year in prison with 3 years of probation. Subsequently, Jjuyang has expressed her pain, stating that she has been suffering from secondary harm, including rumors of being a Chinese spy and being involved in politics.
