'Mantis' Go Hyun-jung has reunited with Jang Dong-yoon after 23 years.

In the SBS broadcast of 'Mantis: The Murderer's Outing' aired on the 5th, the reunion between Cha Soo-yeol (played by Jang Dong-yoon) and Jeong Yi-shin (played by Go Hyun-jung) after 23 years was depicted.

On this day, Choi Jung-ho (played by Jo Sung-ha) visited Cha Soo-yeol, the son of the serial killer Jeong Yi-shin, who was known as 'Mantis', after a copycat murder case occurred 23 years after Jeong Yi-shin's arrest. Choi Jung-ho persuaded Cha Soo-yeol to work with Jeong Yi-shin to solve the copycat murder case.

In response, Cha Soo-yeol met with Jeong Yi-shin. Jeong Yi-shin recognized her son and said, "Is that you, Jeong-ho?" but Cha Soo-yeol drew a line, saying, "I am Inspector Cha Soo-yeol from the Violent Crimes Investigation Unit."

When Jeong Yi-shin asked about her well-being, Cha Soo-yeol firmly replied, "Let's skip the small talk. I'm not here for a family reunion. Have you seen the file?"

Jeong Yi-shin explained, "I probably tried quite hard to replicate it. Look at the clean cut here. It must have been a swift strike. This is different from how I do it. I use a saw. When the saw blade cuts through a person's neck, the body resonates. This guy seems to lack that kind of fun."

Cha Soo-yeol sarcastically remarked, "You seemed to be smiling while looking at the photos. Must be nice, reminiscing? Getting all excited and smelling the blood?"

Jeong Yi-shin laughed and said, "Does the smell of blood bother you? They said I had to be turned upside down to have my belly cut open. During the surgery, for some reason, the anesthesia wore off in the middle. I endured it. I was worried that if I moved, something might go wrong for you. While my belly was being cut open and gloved hands were rummaging through my insides, I heard sounds and felt things. And that’s when you were born. The smell of blood? I like it. It’s the smell that was there when you came into this world."

Meanwhile, 'Mantis: The Murderer's Outing' airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
