BTS member V has once again entered the Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100'.
According to a chart announcement posted on the official SNS of the American music media Billboard on the 10th, V's duet with Park Hyo-shin, 'Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)', has reached number 99 on the 'Hot 100' (for the week of December 14). This achievement is particularly meaningful as it comes during a time when traditional carols are prominently featured on the chart.
This marks V's fifth entry on the 'Hot 100' as a solo artist. He first entered the chart with 'Christmas Tree' (79th) from the OST of 'Our Beloved Summer' released in 2021, followed by the title track 'Slow Dancing' (51st) from his first solo album 'Layover', the track 'Love Me Again' (96th), and the digital single 'FRI(END)S' (65th) released in March of this year.
Released on the 29th of last month, 'Winter Ahead' reflects V's love for jazz. The warm atmosphere is created by the saxophone and trumpet, along with the dreamy sound of a prepared piano (a piano modified with various objects inside to alter its sound). Jesse Harris, the songwriter behind Norah Jones' 'Don't Know Why', participated in the song's production. The sweet voices of V and Park Hyo-shin, along with the romantic lyrics, stir the hearts of listeners.
