80th Anniversary of Liberation, EBS Prepares a Rich Special Program… 'The Spy' and Documentaries in One Place

In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation on August 15, EBS is organizing special broadcasts.

The upcoming Liberation Day on the 15th commemorates the liberation of our country from Japan in 1945 and celebrates the establishment of the Republic of Korea, which inherits the legal lineage of the Provisional Government.

This year, marking the 80th anniversary of Liberation, EBS has prepared special programming for Liberation Day and a special lineup for the 22nd EBS International Documentary Festival.

EBS1 will air the special documentary prime 'The Light of History, Youth – Murai's Glasses' at 9:30 AM, followed by the Knowledge Channel e program 'People Who Went to Japan' at 10:30 AM. The film 'The Spy' is scheduled for 2:30 PM.

Additionally, at 12 PM, EBS FM will broadcast 'Yoon Go-eun's Book Cafe' as a special program for Liberation Day.

From the 25th to the 31st, there will be a special programming week for the '22nd EBS International Documentary Festival (EIDF2025)', featuring over 40 works including 'The Gardener and the Dictator', airing on weekdays from 1 PM to 4:10 PM and from 9:55 PM to 2 AM the next day, and on weekends from 11:25 AM to 3 AM the next day.
