Broadcaster Lee Kyung-sil's mother candidly responded to her grandson Son Bo-seung's premarital pregnancy.
On the 21st at 10 PM, the TV Chosun entertainment program ‘Lovers of Joseon’ will feature a family meal gathering four generations from Lee Kyung-sil's mother to Son Bo-seung's son. During this gathering, Lee Kyung-sil reminisced, saying, "Bo-seung has loved eating kimchi since he was 3 years old." Son Bo-seung denied it, saying, "I wasn't 3 years old," but the 97-year-old grandmother insisted, "You were 3 years old," putting an end to the debate.
Lee Kyung-sil also recalled, "Mom never chased after you guys to feed you." The grandmother humorously retorted, "Did you ever feed them? When? I fed them all," eliciting laughter with her sharp remark. Lee Kyung-sil then conceded, "We all ate together." When Son Bo-seung asked, "Grandma, did you raise me right after I was born?" the grandmother vividly remembered, "Of course, you all slept with me from the evening of the day you were born. You didn't sleep at night until you were 100 days old; you only slept during the day."
In response, the 'experienced parent' Son Bo-seung objected, "Grandma, babies don't sleep at night until they're 100 days old!" However, the 'expert' grandmother scolded him, "What nonsense are you talking about... That's why I got thyroid issues, couldn't sleep... and my blood pressure went up!" Son Bo-seung grumbled, "So what were you doing all night?" The grandmother replied, "Crying, just asking for milk! Wetting themselves and just..." providing a very realistic answer.
Meanwhile, Lee Kyung-sil asked her mother, "Looking back, how did you feel when Bo-seung said he was having a baby?" The grandmother honestly replied, "I didn't feel good... that young kid..." causing laughter.
