Actor Jang Geun-suk recalled his battle with thyroid cancer.
On the 16th, MBC's 'Radio Star' featured guests Jang Geun-suk, Lee Hong-ki, Subin, and Kim Shin-young.
On this day, Jang Geun-suk said, "I was feeling unwell last year. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, but it was discovered early when it was very small."
He continued, "I usually get a health check-up once a year. But suddenly, they told me, 'It would be good to have surgery now,' but there was a medical crisis at that time. I couldn't have surgery for about 10 months. I postponed projects and waited, and then suddenly a surgery slot opened up, so I had the surgery right away."
Jang Geun-suk stated, "During my battle, I didn't tell anyone. I didn't even tell my parents. I thought it would be harder for others to empathize with my pain if I talked about it unnecessarily." He added, "Fortunately, I have been cured and have become healthy. I have a desire to engage in various activities during the remaining time, so I really wanted to appear on 'Radio Star'."
