‘Today’s Debut Team’ PD Kang Dong-geol revealed the process of receiving a song from ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ heroine EJAE.
On the morning of the 16th, a production presentation for the new web entertainment show ‘Today’s Debut Team’ was held at Metaground Seongsu in Seongdong-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by PD Kang Dong-geol, MC Han-hae, and cast members Woo-jung-ing, Mi-ra-ni, One Million’s Amy, and LOONA’s Hyun-jin.
‘Today’s Debut Team’ is a program planned in collaboration with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to commemorate the 80th anniversary of liberation, produced by the YouTube channel Studio Asorogo. The members, led by creator Woo-jung-ing, aim to go through the actual debut preparation process and perform on a stage commemorating the 80th anniversary of liberation scheduled for August.
EJAE (Lee Jae), who produced the main OST ‘GOLDEN’ for ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’, which ranked first in 17 countries including the USA, Germany, and France on the first day of its Netflix release, is in charge of music production.

PD Kang Dong-geol commented on assigning a song to the currently rising K-POP composer EJAE, saying, “I think he is a composer who fits the purpose of the project very well. Isn’t he promoting K-Pop culture globally through ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’?” He explained, “I contacted him through the music director, and he gladly approved the song.”
He added, “Since EJAE is a former trainee from SM Entertainment and dreamed of debuting, but is now promoting K-POP as a producer and composer, I think he empathized with that history and provided the song. Although he is in the USA and cannot do the actual work locally, we are communicating and working together.”
In particular, PD Kang Dong-geol mentioned that he reached out after ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ received a hot response, saying, “If I had contacted him earlier, it would have been dramatic, but when I explained the purpose of the program, he gladly agreed.”
‘Today’s Debut Team’ will be released every Friday at 6 PM on the YouTube channel Studio Asorogo.
