Psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun-young shed tears while recalling her late father.
In the episode of MBN's 'Oh Eun-young Stay' aired on the 14th, Oh Eun-young was seen reminiscing about her deceased father.
On that day, Oh Eun-young said, "My father passed away last year, so this year marks exactly one year. He was a father who loved me so much."
Oh Eun-young shared, "When I was in medical school, I used to leave early in the morning and come back late at night, so my father bought me a used car. He always started the engine for me in the morning. No matter how cold it was, he would go out about 30 minutes to an hour early to warm up the car. He was a very caring father."
She continued, "While I was on a business trip to the U.S., my father fell while taking ice out of the refrigerator. He was in so much pain that the hospital prescribed him painkillers, but older people can sometimes become delirious when they take painkillers. On the day I returned, my father intentionally didn't take the painkillers while enduring the pain."
She added, "When I got home and said, 'My beloved daughter is here,' and petted my father, he held my hand and said, 'Eun-young, I waited for you. I am so happy to have a daughter like you. I love you so much.' I can't express how many times I cried and hugged my father, saying 'I love you.' The next day, he was admitted to the hospital and stayed there until he passed away on June 5th last year."
Oh Eun-young cried, "As I laid my father's body to rest, I wailed that I can no longer see him, touch him, or hear his voice. I told him that we must definitely meet again later. I told him to wait for me."
