‘Solo Minbak’s ‘A/S Romance’ ended without any final couples.
On the broadcast of ENA and SBS Plus's entertainment program ‘I am SOLO, and Love Continues After That’ on the 10th, the final selection results of the ‘Special One More’ episode in Geoje Island were revealed. In this ‘Solo Minbak’, not a single final couple was formed, leading to a disappointing outcome for the ‘Romance A/S’.
On the last night of ‘Solo Minbak’, the female participants chose their ‘Night Out Dates’. ‘Popular Girl’ Season 24 Jeongsuk chose Season 25 Youngho, who was the only one not to have a ‘Season Date’, and Season 25 Youngsoo, who desperately hoped for Jeongsuk's choice, expressed his disappointment, saying, “As expected, (going on a date with Season 25 Youngho) is happening. My intuition has never been wrong.”
As Season 25 Youngsoo, Season 24 Gwangsoo, and Season 23 Youngho received ‘0 votes’ in succession, Season 21 Oksun chose Season 24 Youngsoo. Season 4 Jeongsu expected to receive ‘0 votes’, but unexpectedly, Season 6 Hyunsook coolly exclaimed “Just!” and chose him, unable to hide his excitement. However, Season 6 Hyunsook revealed to the production team that she chose Jeongsu not out of romantic interest but to achieve a ‘satisfactory conclusion’, creating a twist.
Season 21 Oksun also chose to date to wrap things up with Season 24 Youngsoo, but unaware of this, Season 24 Youngsoo cheered, “Fireworks are bursting in my heart, bravo!” Ultimately, Season 21 Oksun confessed his honest feelings. He told Season 24 Youngsoo, “I won’t make a final choice tomorrow. I’ve been curious about Season 23 Youngho from the beginning, and I feel sorry for flirting with you out of my greed.” This heartfelt apology brought tears to his eyes. A surprised Season 24 Youngsoo responded, “It’s disappointing, but thank you. And I hope you don’t feel sorry.” They ended the conversation maturely.
While dating Season 25 Youngho, Season 24 Jeongsuk subtly inquired about her feelings for Season 19 Jeongsuk. Season 25 Youngho emphasized that he had only been looking at Season 24 Jeongsuk, saying, “I already sorted everything out during the self-introduction.” He then complimented her, saying, “Season 24 Jeongsuk, your lips are attractive!” praising her thick lips, which she considered a complex. He added, “Are you willing to see me outside? If you’re considering it, I think it would be nice to get to know each other outside.”
Season 4 Jeongsu was happy to have another ‘Night Out Date’ with Season 6 Hyunsook after their ‘Season Date’. He said, “I think I’m the happiest among the seven male participants right now,” even flashing a cute smile, but Season 6 Hyunsook’s expression suddenly hardened. Shortly after, Season 6 Hyunsook revealed to the production team, “I keep having other thoughts. So I started to feel that this isn’t right.”
The next morning, ahead of the ‘Final Selection Day’, Season 25 Youngsoo took the opportunity to visit Season 24 Jeongsuk while his ‘rival’ Season 25 Youngho was busy on a phone call. He said, “If I do more here, it might seem like I’m overdoing it, so I’m really worried. I think it would be a good idea to go out and get to know each other a bit more,” making his ‘final appeal’. Following that, Season 25 Youngho also visited Season 24 Jeongsuk, expressing his sincerity, saying, “I can accept the final selection results, and I hope we can continue to get to know each other.”
After much contemplation, Season 6 Hyunsook called out Season 23 Youngho for a ‘1:1 conversation’. Seeing this, Season 4 Jeongsu lamented, “So you like that kind of style. That’s life.” When Season 23 Youngho heard that Season 6 Hyunsook had completely ended things with Season 4 Jeongsu, he left the door open, saying, “The future is still open.” Season 6 Hyunsook expressed, “I wanted to have a conversation, not just here but even outside.”
After finishing her conversation with Season 23 Youngho, Season 6 Hyunsook finally visited Season 4 Jeongsu. She said, “I had many moments where I wondered if my (date) choice was the right one. At that moment, I thought it was the best, but looking back, I felt it wasn’t.” This seemed to indicate regret over her consistent choice of Jeongsu.
Feeling hurt, Season 4 Jeongsu cried during an interview with the production team, saying, “I didn’t know she was interested in someone else. Shouldn’t it have been done without me knowing? Can’t I go out and find out?”
Finally, it was time for the final selection, and most of the singles chose no one. However, Season 4 Jeongsu courageously chose Season 6 Hyunsook, who expressed gratitude, saying, “Thanks to you, I wasn’t lonely, and my self-esteem has increased,” but ultimately gave up on the final selection.
Season 25 Youngsoo said, “As soon as I arrived at Solo Minbak, I hurt my hand, but the wound has healed. I would be grateful if I could have a chance to eat until it perfectly heals,” and chose Season 24 Jeongsuk. Season 25 Youngho also said, “Just like during Solo Nara, I will stay true to my feelings,” and then went straight to Season 24 Jeongsuk.
Receiving the choices of the two men, Season 24 Jeongsuk stated, “I couldn’t sleep and was very troubled, but I will not make a final choice.” Immediately after, she revealed to the production team, “My feelings didn’t grow. The biggest reason is that I didn’t feel excitement, and I think it will hurt both of them.”
Meanwhile, ‘I am SOLO, and Love Continues After That’ airs every Thursday at 10:30 PM.
