Voice actor Jung Hyung-seok and Park Ji-yoon revealed their marital crisis.
In the episode aired on the 7th, SBS 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' depicted the daily life of the couple Jung Hyung-seok and Park Ji-yoon.
On that day, the couple showed a bickering side from their first greeting. They met as KBS public recruitment voice actors and ended up getting married after overcoming a bad first impression. Despite being married for 17 years, they still fight like it's a war, which caught attention.
Park Ji-yoon said, "I am a person who is quick-tempered and punctual. I need to do things quickly and not be late. I am very thorough." On the other hand, Jung Hyung-seok stated, "I am a free spirit. I think that doesn't quite match with her."
Park Ji-yoon shared, "Since my son is in middle school, there are still things to take care of, and my daughter is in elementary school, so there are things to manage. But I feel like I have to nag my husband too, so I think I'm the only one struggling. It feels like I'm raising three kids alone, not together with my husband."
Jung Hyung-seok asked Park Ji-yoon to lend him 200,000 won in cash and requested an increase in his allowance. To this, Park Ji-yoon retorted, "Who gives an allowance of 2 million won? Isn't that money for personal use?"
As Jung Hyung-seok insisted on increasing his allowance, claiming he wanted his income to be recognized, Park Ji-yoon explained, "Our profession doesn't have contracts forever. My work has decreased a lot too. I pay for insurance and living expenses with my income. I can't save." She added, "It's nice to treat others to a meal, but my family comes first," and then she showed tears.
Meanwhile, Park Ji-yoon revealed that she once wrote a letter to Jung Hyung-seok and went on a separation trip with the kids. She said, "I value time spent with family, but my husband couldn't fulfill that part. He has many acquaintances, while I was overwhelmed with work and parenting. I thought he must be happier meeting those acquaintances than being with family."
She continued, "Even with my husband around, I do everything alone, so I thought it would be more comfortable if he weren't there. So, I took the kids on a trip."
When Park Ji-yoon said, "When I returned from the trip, my husband had no comments. It was as if he hadn't seen the letter. He treated me as if nothing happened. I felt like he was ignoring my feelings," Jung Hyung-seok explained, "I didn't want to talk about negative separation or breakup. Even mentioning it felt difficult."
