‘Bangpan Music: Anywhere You Go’ surprised office workers with a sweet break through a surprise company attack.

On the 5th, the KBS2 music variety program ‘Bangpan Music: Anywhere You Go’ featured musicians from the ‘Bangpan Music Team’ visiting a fashion company in Gangnam, Seoul, delivering soothing music to relieve the stress of office workers.

On this day, the ‘Bangpan Music Team’ prepared a surprise company attack with special guest Jo Hye-ryeon. The members were given missions to deliver encouragement to the employees, sneak into the conference room without being noticed, and perform music during a company dinner.

As part of the secret infiltration, an emergency meeting was held with hidden cameras, and the atmosphere in the conference room gradually became serious. The members, who were watching the live video in real-time, briefly showed their tension but soon set out to change the mood with styling suited for the company and various props like tambourines and shakers.

The Bangpan Music Team, receiving intense attention, heated up the scene with Jo Hye-ryeon’s ‘Anakanna’. Notably, ‘Anakanna’ passed KBS review after 20 years since its release in 2005, making it the first complete performance of the song on KBS during ‘Bangpan Music: Anywhere You Go’. Jo Hye-ryeon, along with Wendy, Lee Chan-won, and Danny Koo, transformed the conference room into a festival with the trademark train dance of ‘Anakanna’ as office workers joined in.

Continuing the excitement, Wendy challenged her first trot genre with Kim Shin-young’s sub-character, Second Aunt Kim Da-bi’s ‘Jura Jura’. Wendy expressed her determination to trot senior Lee Chan-won, saying, “I will do my best,” and sang lyrics that represented the hearts of office workers with powerful vocals, receiving enthusiastic responses.

The stage continued to offer a moment of relaxation and healing after a tiring day. Danny Koo sang Yoon Sang’s ‘One Step Further’ with a voice that reflected a clear soul. The youngest member of the Bangpan Music Team, Lee Chan-won, passionately sang Hwang Ga-ram’s national comfort song ‘I Am a Firefly’ with heartfelt sincerity, moving the youngest employee of the actual company to tears, adding to the emotional impact.

After Wendy’s emotionally resonant performance of ‘Uphill Road’, a fan from the office appeared, drawing attention. The office worker fan also chose ‘Uphill Road’ as their favorite song and sang passionately, with Wendy naturally harmonizing, creating a duet that evoked strong emotions. The seemingly perfect harmony between the two added another vivid scene that could only be seen on ‘Bangpan Music: Anywhere You Go’.

Jo Hye-ryeon’s special live performance, encompassing both excitement and emotion, made the office workers dance. Jo Hye-ryeon delivered encouragement to adults with her new song ‘Broken Time Machine’, written directly with her husband. Wendy expressed her feelings, saying, “I felt energized by the senior’s performance,” and Lee Chan-won also shared, “I heard it for the first time today, and I think it’s the best among Jo Hye-ryeon’s songs.”

Jo Hye-ryeon also revealed the behind-the-scenes story of the birth of Mechanism, saying, “At an awards ceremony, I used the English word ‘Mechanism’, and Yoo Jae-suk laughed. So I asked Lee Jang-won, who is highly educated, and he said it was not wrong but accurately written. That’s how the group Mechanism was formed.”

The best dresser of the Bangpan Music Team, chosen by the fashion company employees, was also revealed. From Danny Koo, who instantly entered photo mode, to pose master Wendy, and Lee Chan-won striking the classic trot singer pose, the scenes brought laughter. Among them, Jo Hye-ryeon, who pulled off a genderless look, and Danny Koo, who showcased casualness with a cropped shirt, were selected as the best dressers.

Afterward, Jo Hye-ryeon performed the labor song ‘Banana Nala’ and danced along with the office workers. For the final group song, the members made everyone stand up with Turtle’s ‘Bingo’, creating a festive atmosphere.

‘Bangpan Music: Anywhere You Go’ provided much-needed comfort and healing to office workers with a variety of genres and song selections that resonate with reality. Expectations are high for what kind of stage the remaining company dinner missions will fill.

Meanwhile, the music roadshow ‘Bangpan Music: Anywhere You Go’, which goes wherever music is needed, airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM.
