The first still of Chun Ho-jin, who will anchor 'Glamorous Days', has been released.
KBS2's new weekend drama 'Glamorous Days' (directed by Kim Hyung-seok, written by So Hyun-kyung) tells the story of a family melodrama that resonates across generations, exploring the idea that everyone has glamorous days, whether in the present, past, or future, each with different meanings.
Chun Ho-jin plays the role of Lee Sang-cheol, the ideal K-father. Sang-cheol is a responsible character with a straightforward and honest personality, prioritizing supporting his parents and raising his children above all else. Although he has a high sense of pride in his life, he begins a lonely struggle in the second act of his life, facing the harsh realities and conflicts in values with his son, Lee Ji-hyuk (played by Jung Il-woo).
The production team of 'Glamorous Days' opened the door to the family narrative by releasing a still of Chun Ho-jin (as Lee Sang-cheol). In the still, Chun Ho-jin perfectly embodies the upright and sincere character of Sang-cheol with a modest appearance. His tightly closed lips and deep gaze convey the tumultuous life story of a character who had to endure numerous trials as a head of the family.
In another still, Sang-cheol's anguish is felt in his expression, which seems to struggle to hide complex emotions. His slumped shoulders and vacant gaze evoke sympathy from viewers. Having won two grand prizes for his roles in KBS weekend dramas 'My Golden Life' and 'Once Again', attention is drawn to what new father figure Chun Ho-jin will create in 'Glamorous Days' that will resonate and touch hearts.
The production team of 'Glamorous Days' stated, "Chun Ho-jin will anchor the drama with a heavy presence, portraying the face of a father that transcends time. He will depict the life of a man who has quietly protected his family with his unique deep acting, delivering a warm resonance that connects generations."
'Glamorous Days' will premiere on August 9 at 8 PM as a follow-up to 'Eagle Five Brothers'.
