
Moonwon (36, real name Park Sang-moon), the fiancé of Koyote member Shinji (43, real name Lee Ji-sun), has clarified the suspicions surrounding him. However, the fandom's reaction remains cold.
On the 2nd, Shinji released a video on her YouTube channel 'How Are You?!?' introducing Moonwon to the Koyote members. The couple is set to marry in the first half of next year.
In the video, Moonwon stated, "It's a surprising story. Many people have come to know me as her boyfriend and fiancé. I didn't know Ji-sun was such a famous person," and revealed that he had been married once before and has a daughter raised by his ex-wife.
He continued, "At first, Shinji didn't know, but as we got closer, I thought I should be honest," adding, "'Because I like you, I can embrace it' was encouraging." During this confession, the other members were taken aback, with one saying, "I'll be right back, I need to go to the bathroom."
After the video went viral, various suspicions about Moonwon emerged online. Claims included, "He had a premarital pregnancy with his ex-wife and there are allegations of cheating," "He bullied his juniors during military service," and "He worked in fraudulent real estate until recently."
Aware of this, Moonwon expressed his stance through his social media on the 3rd.
He stated, "It is true that I married due to a premarital pregnancy with my ex-wife, but the claim that I was cheating during that time is not true," and added, "I started working in real estate at the suggestion of an acquaintance to make a living during my unknown days, but I did not realize that working without a license was wrong, which is my fault," while denying the other allegations.
He also apologized, saying, "I apologize to Koyote fans and Shinji's fans who may have felt discomfort and disappointment due to my careless words and actions and the controversies surrounding me. I feel sorry for hurting and causing trouble to Shinji. I am very sorry and ashamed as a partner who should walk together."
Despite this explanation, public opinion remains negative.
On Moonwon's social media, numerous comments have been posted, such as, "It's not that I'm against the marriage because he's a divorcee with a child," "Isn't the problem that he didn't mention being a divorcee and having a child from the beginning?" and "Does it make sense that he didn't know it was wrong to work without a license?"
