Actors Yeom Jung-ah and Park Hae-joon are coming to us with a drama that serves as a pause in their weary daily lives, ‘For the First Love’.

The new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama ‘For the First Love’ (directed by Yoo Je-won, written by Seong Woo-jin, planned and produced by Studio Dragon and Showrunners) is set to premiere on August 4, and on the 3rd, they unveiled a poster and teaser filled with the emotions and romance of summer.

‘For the First Love’ tells the story of a single mother and her medical student daughter who unexpectedly enter the second act of their lives and decide to live for today’s happiness rather than tomorrow, facing a story of first love rather than an ending. Their gift-like story, which is sometimes cheerful and sometimes touching, is expected to bring laughter, excitement, emotion, and empathy.

Director Yoo Je-won, who is loved for his warm and delicate direction in works like ‘Mom’s Friend’s Son’, ‘Crash Course in Romance’, and ‘Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’, teams up with writer Seong Woo-jin, known for his solid and fresh writing, raising expectations.

The teaser released that day captures the leisurely and quiet natural scenery away from the busy and frustrating city. From the lush greenery and soft sunlight of early summer to the sound of rain under the eaves and the flowing stream, it naturally heals the eyes, ears, and heart.

Meanwhile, a pink pause that rises above the sunset over the red sky and sea transforms into a heart, leading to the title ‘For the First Love’, stimulating curiosity about the upcoming premiere in just over a month.

The released poster also exudes freshness and pleasant leisure. The smiles of four people sitting side by side on a hill covered with wildflowers, enjoying the clear sky and cool breeze, catch the eye. Above all, the warm and youthful two-shots of Lee Ji-an (played by Yeom Jung-ah) and Ryu Jung-seok (played by Park Hae-joon), as well as Lee Hyo-ri (played by Choi Yoon-ji) and Ryu Bo-hyun (played by Kim Min-kyu), spark curiosity about their relationships.

Additionally, a small and pretty camper van loaded with travel bags and the phrase ‘We have decided to live for today’s happiness’ foreshadows the story of Lee Ji-an and Lee Hyo-ri, who have put a pause in their tightly packed lives, drawing attention. The determination to live for ‘today’s happiness’ rather than tomorrow resonates with heartfelt empathy and support.

Expectations are also high for the first love combination of Yeom Jung-ah, Park Hae-joon, Choi Yoon-ji, and Kim Min-kyu, who will portray a middle-aged romance filled with ‘excessive sincerity’, a youthful romance filled with ‘excessive excitement’, and a family love filled with ‘excessive affection’. Yeom Jung-ah plays the role of ‘Lee Ji-an’, a single mother who has lived firmly with confidence. She is a site manager who commands the construction site but becomes a soft-hearted mother who is endlessly weak in front of her daughter, Lee Hyo-ri.

Park Hae-joon plays ‘Ryu Jung-seok’, a prickly architectural designer and Lee Ji-an’s first love. As a single dad living alone with his son Ryu Bo-hyun, he is aloof and cold, but becomes disarmed in front of Lee Ji-an. The transformation of Yeom Jung-ah and Park Hae-joon’s acting, along with their cheerful and exciting banter, is highly anticipated.

The youthful chemistry of rising stars Choi Yoon-ji and Kim Min-kyu is also a point of great expectation. Choi Yoon-ji plays ‘Lee Hyo-ri’, a rebellious youth who has strayed from being a straight-laced medical student. She has endured a tough life but suddenly begins her greatest escapade.

Kim Min-kyu plays ‘Ryu Bo-hyun’, the son of Ryu Jung-seok and a confident young farmer. Having cultivated a flower farm for six years, he begins to develop new feelings due to Lee Hyo-ri. The synergy created with Yeom Jung-ah and Park Hae-joon, who meet in a touching and special mother-daughter relationship and a ‘hard on the outside, soft on the inside’ father-son relationship, adds to the anticipation.

‘For the First Love’ will premiere on August 4 at 8:50 PM on tvN.
