Comedian Kim Won-hoon boasted that he flexed a 'money bed' for his parents.
On the broadcast of MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ on the 2nd, Tablo, Lim Woo-il, Tukut, and Kim Won-hoon appeared as guests.
On this day, Kim Won-hoon said, “I appeared on ‘Radio Star’ three years ago. At that time, I was nervous because it was my first appearance on terrestrial TV after doing well with Short Box. I had a lot of greed, so I had to listen to the other guests while thinking only about my next talk, and I was mumbling like a ghost with my head down. Because of that, I couldn't make a big impact,” he regretted.
He continued, “After appearing on ‘Radio Star’, I never received any contact. I reflected, thinking, ‘I was too much back then.’”
Kim Won-hoon said, “After that, I received a call from the entertainment show ‘The Story of the Day That Tails the Tail’ (hereinafter ‘Kkokkomu’). I am a huge fan of ‘Kkokkomu’. I loved ‘Kkokkomu’ so much that I thought, ‘I have to do well if I get to appear.’ I thought a lot about my reactions before the appearance.”
He added, “During the filming of ‘Kkokkomu’, Jang Sung-kyu was the storyteller. He asks questions in between the stories, right? But I was so focused on thinking about my reactions that I couldn’t remember the content of the story. I said I didn’t know. Since I kept saying I didn’t know, the production team cut the recording. After that, I didn’t receive any contact,” he lamented.
However, these days, Kim Won-hoon is sweeping the hot OTT entertainment shows. Kim Won-hoon acknowledged his unique popularity compared to Eom Ji-yoon and Jo Se-jin, saying, “I did well with Short Box and also did ‘SNL’, and now I have some awards. I was nominated for the ‘Baeksang Arts Awards’ and received two awards at the ‘Brand of the Year Awards’. Honestly, I hadn’t received any significant awards before, but it seems like many people have loved me since last year until now,” he laughed.
Kim Won-hoon expressed, “When I do well, I wanted to give my parents a ‘money bed’ instead of a ‘money cushion’. So, I withdrew 10 million won in cash, laid it on the bed, and let my parents lie down. They were so happy. I am so grateful to be able to do such filial piety,” he said proudly.
