YouTuber Banzz (real name Jeong Man-soo) is keeping his promise with Yoon Hyung-bin.
On the 30th of last month, Banzz posted a video titled ‘Last Video’ on his YouTube channel and said goodbye to his subscribers.
Banzz stated, “This video is expected to be the last video on my channel,” adding, “It seems that many people do not know the situation well. My dream was to step onto the stage of Road FC while training. Fortunately, I got the opportunity to do so. A match was set up with Hyung-bin, whom I have really liked for a long time, and the condition for that match was that the loser would delete their channel. I accepted that.”
He continued, “I fought at Road FC 073 on June 28 and lost. I am committed to keeping this promise as I have put everything on the line. This channel is scheduled to be deleted on July 7, a week later,” and added, “I have uploaded all my videos to this channel for 12 years. To me, this channel was a diary that contained everything about me. Although this channel will disappear, I will return to my original intention and start over from the beginning.”
Banzz faced comedian Yoon Hyung-bin in a mixed martial arts match at the ‘Gupne Road FC 073’ special match held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 28th of last month. Before the match, they made a shocking promise that the loser would delete their YouTube channel, and the match ended with Yoon Hyung-bin winning by TKO in the first round at 1 minute and 42 seconds.
Afterward, Yoon Hyung-bin stated regarding Banzz's channel deletion, “I will not delete Banzz's channel. However, I think it would be fine if I upload my videos to Banzz's channel in the future,” but Banzz insisted that he would keep his promise. Currently, all videos except for the ‘last video’ have been deleted from Banzz's channel.
Meanwhile, Banzz started his YouTube channel in 2013 and gained popularity for his ability to eat large quantities of food quickly despite his slim physique. He currently has 2.05 million subscribers.
