The '2025 MBC University Song Festival' is making a grand return after a 13-year hiatus.

Since its first broadcast in 1977, the 'MBC University Song Festival' has played a significant role in discovering new talent in the history of Korean popular music.

The upcoming '2025 University Song Festival - Ignite Youth' is set to resume after 13 years since 2012, and it plans to incorporate new and diverse attempts that reflect today's music trends. It will break down the barriers of genre and format, providing a platform for young musicians to showcase their individuality and potential.

MBC will publicly recruit artists to participate in the '2025 University Song Festival' from July 27 to August 10. Anyone who loves singing, regardless of nationality or age, and is a university (or graduate school) student in Korea or abroad, is eligible to apply. Detailed application methods can be found on MBC's official SNS.

The production team stated, "We will strive to find songs of youth that will resonate beyond the campus and into the world," and expressed hope for the participation and interest of hidden gem musicians from across the country.
