The late actress Park Ji-a is making a brilliant performance as a scene-stealer in her final work 'Salon de Holmes'.
The ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Salon de Holmes', set in the Gwangseon Jugong Apartment, features a comic romance action story where four women, including a former ace detective, an insurance king, and the queen of part-time jobs, come together as problem solvers to punish the apartment villains.
In the drama, Park Ji-a plays the role of Choi Seon-ja, the president of the apartment residents' association. Choi Seon-ja is a passionate president with a mad obsession to protect the apartment's property values.
From episodes 1 to 4, Park Ji-a has captivated viewers with her elegant visuals befitting a residents' association president, struggling to protect property values. She brings the character to life by exerting influence over various incidents occurring within the apartment complex, portraying a realistically relatable residents' association president.
In particular, Park Ji-a showcased her comedic acting skills with fantastic chemistry alongside Lee Si-young (playing Gong Mi-ri). She introduced Lee Si-young, Jung Young-joo (played by Chu Kyung-ja), and Nam Gi-ae (played by Jeon Ji-hyun) as 'heroes' to the residents, heightening viewers' curiosity about what incidents will unfold next.
Especially, Park Ji-a displayed her comedic acting prowess with the residents of Gwangseon Jugong Apartment, including Lee Si-young. To encourage Lee Si-young to solve the issue of the communal trash pile, she humorously visited her husband, a fitness trainer named Jung Sang-hoon (played by Park Seung-ho), to make the gym crowded.
'Salon de Holmes' is Park Ji-a's final work. She passed away last September after battling a cerebral infarction, leaving her fans heartbroken. Park Ji-a, who made a significant impact in numerous hit works such as 'Gidam', 'Gonjiam', 'The King’s Affection', 'The Good Wife', and 'The Glory', has left behind a legacy of acting passion that will forever be etched in our homes through her final work 'Salon de Holmes'.
Director Min Jin-ki of 'Salon de Holmes' stated in an interview, "I thought it would be great to have an experienced actor play the role of the residents' association president, so I offered the role to Park Ji-a, and she indeed added excitement with her heartfelt performance." Park Ji-a perfectly met the director's strong belief with her acting skills, raising expectations for the remaining episodes.
'Salon de Holmes' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
