As a male participant of ‘I Am Solo’ has been arrested on charges of sexual assault, the production team has stated that they will edit and delete the broadcast segments as much as possible.
The production team of the ENA·SBS Plus entertainment program ‘I Am Solo’ stated on the official YouTube community board on the 24th, “We learned about the issuance of an arrest warrant for participant A’s criminal charges through news reports on the morning of the 24th.”
They continued, “Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, we will take measures to ensure that viewers do not feel uncomfortable while broadcasting. We will also edit and delete the participant from previously aired segments as much as possible.”
The production team added, “Despite urging the participants to be cautious and vigilant before and after the broadcast, we feel a deep sense of responsibility and regret that such an incident has occurred,” and stated, “We will strictly manage the participants to ensure they fulfill their contractual obligations and responsibilities even after filming.”
Earlier on the same day, according to Yonhap News TV, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul urgently arrested a man in his 30s, referred to as A, who appeared on ‘I Am Solo’, on charges of attempted rape.
A is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in a parking lot in the Seogyo-dong area of Mapo-gu, Seoul, at around 3:30 AM on the 21st.
The police applied for an arrest warrant after urgently detaining A, and the court issued the warrant on the 23rd.
In particular, A is known to have appeared consecutively on the general dating programs ‘I Am Solo’ and ‘I Am Solo, After That Love Continues’, which has sparked controversy.
