‘Seocho-dong’ Lee Jong-suk and Moon Ga-young hint at a peculiar relationship of extremes.
The new tvN weekend drama ‘Seocho-dong’ (written by Lee Seung-hyun / directed by Park Seung-woo / planned by CJ ENM Studios / produced by Green Snake Media), which will premiere on July 5, depicts the growth journey of five associate lawyers who commute daily to the Seocho-dong legal town.
In the drama, associate lawyers Ahn Joo-hyung (played by Lee Jong-suk), Kang Hee-ji (played by Moon Ga-young), Jo Chang-won (played by Kang Yoo-seok), Bae Moon-jung (played by Ryu Hye-young), and Ha Sang-ki (played by Lim Sung-jae) work at law firms located on different floors of the Hyungmin Building in Seocho-dong legal town.
During their intense work lives, they gather at a restaurant during lunch hours to relieve the stress of the day by clinking their spoons together. Ahead of their first day at Seocho-dong legal town, we took a look at the relationships of the five associate lawyers who build a strong friendship by sharing even a single grain of rice.
First, the peculiar relationship between the rational lawyer Ahn Joo-hyung and the passionate lawyer Kang Hee-ji draws attention. Ahn Joo-hyung, who has settled in the same workplace for nine years in the frequently changing world of associates, is a capable individual with experience to match. As a result, whenever something happens, all the lawyers in the Hyungmin Building rush to Ahn Joo-hyung.
Kang Hee-ji, who has just become an associate lawyer, also seeks out Ahn Joo-hyung whenever she has questions to satisfy her curiosity. Although Kang Hee-ji has a confident and honest personality that disarms the hearts of those she meets, this charm does not seem to work on Ahn Joo-hyung, raising curiosity about whether Kang Hee-ji's persistent knocking will break down Ahn Joo-hyung's defenses.
The chemistry of the five associate lawyers, who gather around the table during lunch, is also highly anticipated. Following the lead of the food enthusiast Bae Moon-jung, who is serious about finding a restaurant, they sit down and proceed with setting the table and ordering the menu seamlessly without much conversation, showcasing their perfect teamwork.

In particular, the lively banter of Jo Chang-won, who boasts endless talk, and Ha Sang-ki, who is the only one to respond to him, along with Bae Moon-jung, who jumps in whenever a bet is made, and the four associate lawyers controlling the situation, create an interesting dynamic. The meeting with the five associate lawyers, who will add vibrancy to daily life with their lively chatter, is eagerly awaited, just like the cheerful sound of spoons ringing on the table.
