In the released photo, Choi Jae-won is seen smiling brightly while receiving the presidential commendation at the 9th Elder Abuse Prevention Day ceremony. He expressed his joy of receiving the award with hashtags like 'President Lee Jae-myung' and 'Presidential Commendation.'
Previously, since 2010, Choi Jae-won has been active as a promotional ambassador for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's elder abuse prevention, actively participating in training for staff at elder protection agencies and promotional campaigns to raise awareness about the seriousness of elder abuse. He also received a presidential commendation as a tax cooperation award on Taxpayer's Day in 2003. With this, he became the first actor to receive a presidential commendation twice.
In addition to the presidential commendation, he was recognized for his contributions to the protection of elder rights and received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare in 2012.
