The main characters of ‘The Land of Villains’ introduced the charm points of the work.

With the new KBS2 sitcom ‘The Land of Villains’ (directed by Kim Young-jo and Choi Jeong-eun, written by Chae Woo and Park Kwang-yeon) set to premiere on the 19th, the lead actors Onara (as Onara), So Yoo-jin (as Oh Yoo-jin), Seo Hyun-cheol (as Seo Hyun-cheol), and Song Jin-woo (as Song Jin-woo), along with Choi Ye-na (as Gu Won-hee), Han Seong-min (as Seo In-na), Jeong Min-kyu (as Seo Young-hoon), and Eun-chan (as Song Gang) discussed the unique charms of the work.

Onara, who defined ‘The Land of Villains’ as ‘me’, explained, “Since it’s a work that uses my name, I see it as a reflection of myself. In a world overflowing with villains, I might also become someone’s villain, and situations can arise where we can all be villains to each other. Our drama will provide joy through a festival of cute characters that refreshingly clear the air on behalf of everyone,” hinting at a differentiated fun compared to other dramas.

Following that, So Yoo-jin said, “‘The Land of Villains’ is ultimately our story. It resembles our lives a lot, where we spend an ordinary day but end up lying in bed saying, ‘I did my best today.’” This raised expectations for a realistic daily life story. Seo Hyun-cheol added, “Our work is like a mixed noodle dish. When it’s hard to choose between laughter and emotion, you can enjoy both flavors,” appealing to its diverse charms.

Song Jin-woo stated, “As we live our lives, there are hatred and conflict, as well as love and happiness. While it is expressed more dramatically in our sitcom, it ultimately reflects the world we live in. I believe viewers will resonate with it, be moved, and laugh,” expressing strong confidence in the work.

Choi Ye-na mentioned, “These days, I also find myself lacking leisure in my daily life and don’t watch TV often due to being busy. Maybe that’s why I feel there’s less healing and laughter than before. Our work is like a ‘meal friend’ drama that you can lightly turn on while eating, smile, and watch comfortably.” She also added, “Each character feels alive, and the relationships between characters will be a major point of interest in the drama.”

Han Seong-min described ‘The Land of Villains’ as a ‘cushion’, saying, “It can provide comfort and courage while gently wrapping around a wounded heart,” and encouraged viewers by saying, “I hope you feel the warm comfort like a cushion in the warm moments of the family in the drama.” Additionally, Jeong Min-kyu expressed, “I hope the sitcom genre is revived and loved by the public once again through ‘The Land of Villains’.” Eun-chan added, “‘The Land of Villains’ is a warm work where you can feel the emotions, laughter, and happiness among family after a long time.”

‘The Land of Villains’ is a situational comedy drama that captures the sometimes rough yet warm daily lives of K-Zoomma sisters and their quirky family. It will premiere on the 19th at 9:50 PM.
