During a cooking competition with Choi Hyun-seok, Edward Lee unexpectedly showed his composure and performance by using a mask pack.
In the first episode of the JTBC entertainment program 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' (directed by Lee Chang-woo and Lee Rin-ha), which aired on the afternoon of the 15th, chefs Edward Lee and Choi Hyun-seok took over Young-tak's refrigerator and competed with egg dishes.
MC Kim Sung-joo revealed benefits for the competing chefs. He announced that they could either start cooking one minute earlier and cook for 16 minutes or use a one-minute stop right to pause their opponent's cooking at any moment.
On that day, Choi Hyun-seok prepared an omelet called 'Egg Foam Madness,' while Edward Lee made 'Egg World' rice with eggs. Edward Lee spread the rice, sprinkled seaweed flakes on top, and shaped it with a round mold, while Choi Hyun-seok mixed crab meat and oysters and stir-fried them in a pan.
When asked, "Do you think your opponent is easy?" Edward Lee playfully nodded and chose the one-minute stop right as his benefit.
With the one-minute stop right, Edward Lee shouted "Stop!" as Choi Hyun-seok placed the omelet batter in the heated pan, causing other chefs to exclaim, "What should we do!" and "Omelet!" while laughing. At that moment, Edward Lee took out the mask pack and said, "I want to win fairly. I can't cook for one minute," putting the mask pack on his face and making everyone around him laugh. Seeing this, Choi Hyun-seok seemed flustered and amused, feeling a sense of crisis regarding his comedic skills, while Young-tak praised Edward Lee, saying, "What great sense!"
Earlier, PD Lee Chang-woo remarked, "Chef Edward Lee did his best despite a tough schedule with a 15-hour flight and time difference," adding, "While 'Black and White Chef' highlighted his seriousness and creativity in cooking, 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' showcases his explosive comedic talent. (I) don't have a short experience as an entertainment PD, but I felt, 'This person is a complete entertainer.'"
