Park Tae-hwan from 'Pyeon Restaurant' reveals the reality of pensions.

In the KBS2 show 'New Menu Launch Pyeon Restaurant' (hereafter 'Pyeon Restaurant') airing on the 13th, the honest story of the legendary Park Tae-hwan, who has written the history of swimming in South Korea, will be revealed. After being selected as the youngest national representative at the age of 14, Park Tae-hwan swept various world competitions such as the Olympics, World Championships, and Asian Games, and he will candidly share about the pension that comes with his incredible records.

In the VCR to be aired that day, Park Tae-hwan says, "There is a restaurant I really want to go to," and leaves his house, only to enter another apartment within the apartment complex, raising eyebrows. It turns out he was heading to a cafeteria located within the apartment. This apartment has garnered attention as it is home to many celebrities and is known as the 'first apartment in the country with a resident restaurant.'

Chef Lee Yeon-bok commented, "You've worked hard, but Park Tae-hwan has succeeded," bringing laughter. Following this, the production team of 'Pyeon Restaurant' cautiously asked Park Tae-hwan about his pension. This was understandable, as Park Tae-hwan has countless medals from international competitions.

Park Tae-hwan stated, "It's impossible to live off a pension for a lifetime." He continued, "You need to accumulate 100 points to register for a pension. I accumulated all 100 points at once during the Doha Asian Games in 2006 when I was in high school," and honestly added, "That (pension) amount is a bit salty like a salt bread."

He also mentioned, "I donated a lot of the prize money I received after winning medals." The reality of the pension that Park Tae-hwan revealed can be confirmed in the main broadcast.

Park Tae-hwan also shares a warm phone call with his biological sister, who was misunderstood as his girlfriend during his athlete days. During this process, he reveals that his first niece, whom he loves dearly, is also learning to swim. However, it surprised everyone when Park Tae-hwan expressed his opposition to his niece's serious pursuit of becoming a swimmer.

'Pyeon Restaurant' will air on the 13th at 8:30 PM.
