Recently, Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-ah, and Cheon Rok-dam, who won a trot survival entertainment show, showcased perfect chemistry with Park Myung-soo.
The 308th episode of KBS2's entertainment show ‘The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears’ (hereafter ‘Sadangui’), aired on the 1st, recorded a peak rating of 5.8% and a nationwide rating of 4.1%, continuing its streak of being the number one in the same time slot for 157 weeks in a row (according to Nielsen Korea).
On this day’s broadcast, Park Myung-soo met with the three trot success bosses, Kim Yong-bin, Son Bin-ah, and Cheon Rok-dam, in the third part of ‘Walking to the Boss's House’ with intern Ye-won.
Winner Kim Yong-bin surprised everyone by revealing that he had received a suggestion to join SHINee from Lee Soo-man, the former general producer of SM Entertainment. When Kim Yong-bin said, “I love trot too much to accept the offer,” Jeon Hyun-moo praised his looks, saying, “You have a noble face. You are totally SM material.”
Kim Yong-bin revealed that during his appearance on the trot survival entertainment program, he was more popular in the voting than Im Young-woong. He stated, “I ranked first in the popularity vote for 8 consecutive weeks during my appearance. This is a record that even Im Young-woong couldn't achieve,” and added, “I was really surprised when I went to an event recently and saw 45 fan club buses.” Hearing this, Park Myung-soo jokingly said, “Give me your contact number,” while holding Kim Yong-bin's hand tightly, making everyone laugh.
Son Bin-ah, who has been a runner-up in the trot competition program three times, moved everyone with her heartfelt message about her father. She said, “My father raised four siblings by himself, and I want to thank him for raising us well until now.”
Cheon Rok-dam, who transformed from singer Lee Jung to a trot rookie, said, “In the past, I felt a lot of pressure to do well, which was hard, but now I enjoy singing itself. Personally, I went through a tough time and even considered retiring due to being scammed, but thanks to my wife, I feel much better.” When Park Myung-soo requested a video letter for his wife, Cheon Rok-dam humorously asked, “Is your hosting still stuck in the same place after 20 years?” causing everyone to burst into laughter.
The three held a guerrilla concert at a karaoke machine set up on an outdoor stage. Although the modest stage initially felt lacking, soon a crowd gathered, and they captivated the audience by showcasing their favorite songs.
In the studio, Lee Soon-sil, who was completely captivated by Kim Yong-bin's charm, was caught with a blissful expression. She declared, “Now I prefer Kim Yong-bin over Jeon Hyun-moo. Jeon Hyun-moo has lost his charm now that he has lost weight,” making everyone laugh with her change of heart.
Last week, chef Ahn Yoo-seong, who earned the nickname ‘Old-fashioned Boss’ on ‘Korea's 16th Master’, also revealed his ‘desire for a title’ in this episode, providing entertainment. On this day, Ahn Yoo-seong attracted attention by holding a special gathering at his Pyongyang cold noodle restaurant.
Currently, Ahn Yoo-seong holds six official titles, including President of the Korean Sea Chef Association, President of the Honam Branch of the Korean Culinary Masters Association, President of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Branch of the Korean Chefs Association, and Golden Youngest Member of the Master Craftsmen Association of Korea, with countless unofficial titles. He prepared a special event to treat his members to fresh tuna. Presenting bibim naengmyeon made with fresh tuna mixed like sashimi, Ahn Yoo-seong expressed pride, saying, “This isn’t on the menu, but I can do it because I’m a master.” Jeong Ho-young then remarked, “This is a menu I posted on YouTube two years ago,” provoking Ahn Yoo-seong's anger.
As praises of “Chairman! Chairman!” erupted over the taste of the food Ahn Yoo-seong served, Jeon Hyun-moo spontaneously suggested, “Let’s create our own gathering. How about the Donkey Association?” When asked who would pay for the gathering, Ahn Yoo-seong replied, “If I become the chairman, of course, I’ll pay,” leading Jeon Hyun-moo and Park Myung-soo to pose in a flattering manner, making everyone laugh.
Ahn Yoo-seong went to bat for his apprentice, Chef Kwon Jeong-il, who is challenging to become a master. Ahn Yoo-seong meticulously checked the documents prepared by Chef Kwon Jeong-il and shared detailed feedback and tips for passing based on his own experience of becoming a master after seven attempts and eight failures.
Ahn Yoo-seong humorously stated, “I passed the master evaluation thanks to my white hair,” and gifted his apprentice with a hair dye, bringing laughter. Ahn Yoo-seong’s warm gesture of inviting judges for the master evaluation for his apprentice Kwon Jeong-il, who received his tips, raised curiosity about whether Kwon Jeong-il would pass the master evaluation.
‘Soon-sil Boss’ Lee Soon-sil revealed her unfulfilled desire for the food business, causing her employees to sweat. On this day, Lee Soon-sil headed to a large empty building in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do, with her staff, saying, “Let’s go wherever I say today.”
As Lee Soon-sil inspected the corners of the approximately 900-pyeong building, she suddenly told her employees, “I want to open a store in Dongducheon in a style like North Korea’s Okryu-gwan,” leaving them bewildered. When an employee expressed concern, saying, “I’ve seen three business failures with my own eyes, and I’m worried about making it bigger,” Lee Soon-sil retorted, “I’m currently full of dreams, and you’re pouring cold water on them,” showcasing the true nature of ‘Boss Soon-sil’ and making everyone laugh.
