Actress Yum Hye-ran has won the Best Supporting Actress award in the broadcasting category at the Baeksang Arts Awards.

The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards took place on the evening of the 5th at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul. The awards recognize the best works and actors in the broadcasting (TV), film, and theater categories for the first half of 2024 and 2025. The event was hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yup, actress and singer Suzy, and actor Park Bo-gum.

On this day, Yum Hye-ran was awarded Best Supporting Actress for her role in the drama ‘Poksak Sogassuda’ (Netflix).

Yum Hye-ran expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am always inspired by my fellow actors. There are many wonderful supporting actors. I have met many seniors and juniors whom I have respected since my theater days. I extend my deep respect and thanks to them.”

The Baeksang Arts Awards, established in 1965, is a comprehensive arts award that honors the production teams and performers in the TV, film, and theater categories that have aired or screened over the past year, aimed at promoting the development of Korean popular culture and uplifting the spirits of artists.

This year's theme for the Baeksang Arts Awards is ‘Sailing Towards the Future’. It embodies the meaning of supporting the development and journey of popular culture and arts that are moving beyond Korea to the world.
