Park Bo-gum's striking transformation in 'Good Boy' has been unveiled for the first time through the initial teaser video. He will showcase a mix of romance, comedy, and action alongside Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok, known as the 'Good Avengers'.

JTBC's new weekend drama 'Good Boy' (written by Lee Dae-il, directed by Shim Na-yeon) is a comedic action youth investigation drama about medalists who become police officers, wearing their police IDs instead of medals, fighting against a world rife with dishonesty and rule-breaking. Directed by Shim Na-yeon, who won the Best Drama Award at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for 'Monster' and created the critically acclaimed 'Bad Mom', and written by Lee Dae-il, known for unique genre works like 'Life on Mars' and the 'Advisor' series, this project is drawing significant attention.

Amidst everyone's anticipation, the first teaser video released today (1st) features a rhythmic narrative that shifts between romance, comedy, and action, hinting at the birth of a new youth hero story. Leaving behind a glamorous past as a medalist, the 'Good Avengers'—Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Lee Sang-yi, Heo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok—begin to run with a passionate heart, overcoming wounds and frustrations in a fierce reality, raising the heartbeat in anticipation of the first broadcast.

The video begins with a glimpse of the glorious heroes who once held medals at international competitions. Boxing gold medalist Yoon Dong-joo (Park Bo-gum), shooting gold medalist Ji Han-na (Kim So-hyun), fencing silver medalist Kim Jong-hyun (Lee Sang-yi), wrestling bronze medalist Go Man-sik (Heo Sung-tae), and discus throw bronze medalist Shin Jae-hong (Tae Won-seok) shone brightly on their respective grounds.

However, that glory does not last long. The following scenes quickly flash by, revealing the dismal present of these individuals who have become police officers through special recruitment. Yoon Dong-joo, who once received cheers from the crowd while delivering a satisfying uppercut, now struggles in a narrow car, sleeping fitfully in the dark of night.

Ji Han-na, who once hit the tiny target with sharp precision, must now force a smile in a reality different from that of Lee Sang-yi. Kim Jong-hyun, who elegantly wielded a fencing sword, and Go Man-sik, who overpowered his opponent with a thrilling throw, find themselves in similarly pitiful situations. Even Shin Jae-hong, who once threw the discus powerfully in a vast athletic field, is now standing on the street wearing a large mascot costume.

Yet, their hearts ignite once more. This is due to the emergence of the greatest villain in Inseong City, prompting them to clench their fists for justice. The barely visible silhouette suggests that he will not be easily caught. Nevertheless, the 'Good Avengers' maintain a resolute gaze. Yoon Dong-joo's words, "The round isn't over until I smash my opponent," along with his intense gaze piercing through the screen, foreshadow the fierce struggle of those who refuse to give up. With the memories of that heated day, 'Good Boy' will land in viewers' homes in a month.

The production team explains, "'Good Boy' is a story of youth rising again after defeat," adding, "Our 'Good Avengers' are ready to deliver a satisfying uppercut against dishonesty and rule-breaking, reigniting the dying embers. Those who have broken free from their dismal daily lives will ignite a passionate flame in the hearts of viewers. Above all, we have prepared a mix of comedy, action, and romance, so please enjoy it to the fullest."

Meanwhile, 'Good Boy' will premiere on May 31 at 10:40 PM, following 'More Beautiful Than Heaven'.
