In the 26th season of 'I Am Solo', 'Gold Men and Women' made a grand appearance.
On the broadcast of SBS Plus and ENA's reality dating program 'I Am Solo' on the 30th of last month, the 'Gold Men and Women', who are perfect in every aspect from their specs to their visuals but have missed their marriage timing for various reasons, were depicted entering 'Solo Nara No. 26'.
'Solo Nara No. 26' was set up in Gyeonggi's Gapyeong, where beautiful snow flowers bloomed. The 26th season is a 'Gold Special' that took place about two years after the 7th and 14th seasons, and the first to appear was the neatly dressed Youngsoo.
Youngsoo, born in 1980, was an 'elite' who became a professor at a university in Busan after studying at S University and completing a postdoctoral research fellowship in the United States. Youngsoo, who has only dated twice in his 10 years as a professor, revealed, "My parents opposed (the marriage)," and added, "Now, even if there is opposition, it doesn't matter. I will make it so that it doesn't matter."
Next, the sturdy-looking Youngho appeared, stating, "Marriage is not urgent. Meeting a good person is a priority," and mentioned, "I recently signed a contract for a house." The 'baby-faced' Youngsik revealed his surprising age of '40s' and confessed, "If I don't do something now, I might end up alone at 50 or 60," admitting that he has been single since his last relationship about 10 years ago.
Youngcheol, who boasts a height of 193cm, confessed, "I am preparing for a golf pro player test," and said, "Until I was 37, women in their 20s approached me, but after COVID-19, my time alone has increased, and my marriage has been delayed."
Kwangsoo, who made a strong entrance in a red coat, was born in 1982 and claimed to resemble 'Lee Min-ho and Tom Cruise', showcasing his overflowing talent with impersonations of Kim Jung-min and Kim Gun-mo, as well as Chinese jokes. Kwangsoo, who spent a lot of time in the Middle East due to his deployment in Iraq and work, boasted, "I still kiss my mom. I never hold back when it comes to expressing love."
Sangcheol, who couldn't date because he works in a male-dominated company, showed an open mind, saying, "I don't care much about looks or age." Finally, 47-year-old Kyungsu expressed his desperation, saying, "During COVID-19, there were a lot of news about 'lonely deaths', and I thought that could be me. There is no one older than me at my company." He added, "I also bought a house in Jamsil. I think I will inherit land that has been passed down from my ancestors."
The solo women also revealed their stunning goddess visuals and super specs. Youngsook, who returned to Korea after studying in the US and UK, shared that she went on dates 100 times at her father's suggestion to "meet someone." Notably, Youngsook revealed that she had previously gone on a blind date with one of the solo men from the 26th season.
Jeongsook, who arrived in a pink car, mentioned her past as 'H University’s Park Bo-young', saying, "I dated non-stop in my 20s, but from 29 to 33, I couldn't date because I was studying. After that, I contacted people I had lost touch with and went on 40 to 50 blind dates," showcasing her determination.
Soonja, a famous cellist who has held solo concerts at the Arts Center, shared, "I am introverted and shy, so I haven't done well with blind dates. My mom told me not to miss this year," explaining her desperate reason for coming to 'Solo Nara'. Youngja, who completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in the US and returned to work in Korea, revealed that she is a 'passionate woman' who even trains at 11 PM, saying, "I broke up with my boyfriend due to family opposition in the past. Now, I wonder if it's time to stop being picky about age and job. If there are no children, being a divorcee is also okay."
Born in 1988, Oksun shared a heartbreaking story, saying, "The person I met in my early 30s was so poor that both families strongly opposed the marriage." She explained her ideal type, saying, "I would like someone stable, and I am open to a 10-year age difference." Finally, 'Smiling' Hyunsook said, "I like a quiet 'insider'. Recently, I had a niece, and I started to want to get married and have children," she laughed. With seven solo men and six solo women gathered, the first impression selection for the solo men began.
In the first impression selection, Hyunsook received unanimous votes from Youngsoo, Youngsik, Kwangsoo, and Kyungsu, becoming the 'popular woman'. Jeongsook received votes from Youngho and Sangcheol, while Youngja received a vote from Youngcheol.
After the selection, they were given three minutes for a private conversation, during which Youngsik naturally arranged a coffee date with Hyunsook, and Kwangsoo expressed his gratitude to Hyunsook, saying, "The way you calmly led the conversation was very beautiful."
On the other hand, Youngsook, Soonja, and Oksun, who received '0 votes', could not hide their bitterness. Oksun expressed her disappointment, saying, "I gathered the courage to come here, but I feel like my will has completely faded."
In the preview released immediately after, Hyunsook was seen igniting her determination, saying, "There is someone who is very similar to my ideal type? I feel a surge of combat power!" while the solo men surrounded Hyunsook, each trying to appeal to her, raising curiosity for the next broadcast.
The self-introduction of the 26th season 'Gold Men and Women' will be aired on 'I Am Solo' on the 7th at 10:30 PM.
