The first teaser video of labor attorney Jung Kyung-ho, who is active on the ground, has been released.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘Labor Attorney Noh Mujin’ (written by Kim Bo-tong and Yoo Seung-hee, directed by Im Soon-rye and Lee Han-jun) will premiere on May 30 at 9:50 PM. It is a comic fantasy action drama that depicts the chaotic labor problem-solving journey of a labor attorney who sees ghosts.
This is the first drama directed by film director Im Soon-rye, in collaboration with writer Kim Bo-tong of the OTT dramas ‘D.P.’ and ‘Hwang-ya’, and writer Yoo Seung-hee of the films ‘My Love, My Bride’ and ‘I Can Speak’. With a lineup of attractive actors including Jung Kyung-ho, Seol In-ah, and Cha Hak-yeon, it is garnering great interest.
The released first teaser video features Noh Mujin (played by Jung Kyung-ho) who ambitiously opens a labor attorney office, along with the tagline “There has never been a professional who works this hard.” Mujin, who was wandering around labor sites to make money, finds himself in a life-threatening situation and desperately asks, “If I sign, you’ll save me, right?” as he enters into a mysterious contract that puts his life on the line, piquing curiosity.
After that, bizarre events occur where only Mujin can see ghosts. Mujin’s sister-in-law Na Hee-joo (played by Seol In-ah), who has a knack for finding profitable work, and video creator Go Gyeon-woo (played by Cha Hak-yeon), who chases views, entice Mujin to use his ability as “the world’s first and only labor attorney who sees ghosts.” As Mujin, clinging to his life, heads out to various labor sites to resolve the grievances of the ghosts, anticipation and curiosity about the cases he will take on are heightened.
‘Labor Attorney Noh Mujin’ is drawing attention by spotlighting the unique profession of labor attorneys, breaking away from the typical professional dramas featuring doctors, lawyers, and prosecutors. The fantasy element of seeing ghosts adds a delightful and fresh twist. The first teaser video has effectively showcased the charm of this drama.
In particular, Jung Kyung-ho comically portrays Mujin, who runs around labor sites to survive, enhancing the fun with what is dubbed ‘messy action.’ His frantic expressions, combined with running, rolling, and getting hit, depict Mujin’s struggles and efforts through Jung Kyung-ho’s dedicated performance. Additionally, Seol In-ah and Cha Hak-yeon are set to portray unique characters who run alongside Mujin in the labor field, hinting at a different side of their acting that has not been seen in previous works, raising expectations for the chemistry among the three.
