Actress Park Si-eun has successfully completed her first half marathon challenge.
In the episode aired on the 24th, SBS ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny’ depicted the daily life of the couple Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun.
On this day, the couple made a notable appearance on ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2’ for the first time in two years since they lost their child in 2022. Jin Tae-hyun joked, “I listened very well to Park Si-eun for the past two years. Park Si-eun has become more gentle. She scolded me less.”
The couple shared that they recently started running, saying, “We have experienced things we shouldn’t have gone through and gained a lot of wisdom in life. There were two paths, and we chose the path of overcoming. We have been exercising hard and supporting each other. We are doing well and enjoying life.”
When the production team asked, “I heard your family has grown recently,” Park Si-eun replied, “We haven’t legally become a family, but we consider ourselves parents, rely on each other, and consult with each other. Since everyone is an adult, we don’t live in the same house, but we give love to each other under the name of family and spend time together, living as a family.”
Jin Tae-hyun said, “One of our daughters is an elite marathon runner. After living, I realized there are so many children with various stories. Hearing those stories moved our hearts, and that’s how we became a family.”
Meanwhile, Park Si-eun challenged her first half marathon. Her daughter, a marathon runner, wrote her a letter to support her half marathon challenge.
Park Si-eun stated, “We have been participating in charity marathons together, and this time I want to run to help sick children. I want to give strength to that child while meaningfully challenging my first half marathon.”
On the day of the event, Park Si-eun stood at the starting line wearing matching outfits with Jin Tae-hyun. Despite facing several challenges, she crossed the finish line with the support of Jin Tae-hyun, who has completed nine marathons. Park Si-eun said, “I think it’s meaningful to complete the race. As long as you don’t give up, you can achieve any accomplishment. Running is the same as life. There’s no reason to give up on pregnancy, so I want to try to carry it to the end,” she smiled.
